Millions of players are awaiting the release of Starfield. It's hard to imagine the scale of the game. In essence, Bethesda is about to release its most ambitious and detailed game, and with it, they've taken an unexpected step. The developers have announced that Starfield will have early access, but not for everyone, only for players who pre-ordered or people who purchased the Collector's Edition. Let's figure out what is known about the game's early access.

Will there be early access to Starfield

As it became known quite recently (June 2023, during the presentation from Bethesda), Starfield will indeed implement an early access system. 

Who will get access to Starfield's early access

Access will be given to only 2 groups of players:

1. Players who have pre-ordered while this option is available;
2. Players who have purchased the Collector's Edition.

What does early access to Starfield provide

In essence, early access is a demo/beta version of the game. There may still be bugs that the developers haven't had time to fix before the game's release day. However, the aforementioned groups of individuals will be able to play Starfield 5 days before the official release. Furthermore, early access will apply to all platforms since the game is being released on all platforms simultaneously. 

When will Starfield early access be available

Starfield will be released on September 6, 2023. If there are no delays, early access will open on September 1. All players who purchased the Collector's Edition or pre-ordered will have access to the game 5 days earlier than others. In addition, players who pre-order will receive other bonuses, which we will discuss a bit later, as well as about the Collector's Edition. 

Where can you download the demo version (early access) of Starfield

It's not known yet. Most likely, the demo version will be available on all official platforms. For example, for PC this will be Steam, for Xbox - Microsoft Store.
