Selunite Outpost is a location in the southeast of The Underdark, situated near the surface exit. It features the ruins of a once-powerful and reliable fortress.

In this guide, we'll provide detailed instructions on how to find the Selunite Outpost and deactivate the statues to open the passage.

How to Reach the Selunite Outpost

On the map, the outpost is located in the lower right corner, adjacent to the Goblin Camp. The only passage is blocked by gates guarded by statues. Behind the gates, there will be a minotaur who will attempt to come out, but the statues will deal with him swiftly – making it problematic for you to pass through.

How to Deactivate the Statues

From the location with the minotaur and statues, go up the stairs to the tower and then climb higher via the ladder. Search the lone skeleton and take the Selunite Key, which opens the gates.

Next, use a ranged attack to shoot the stone in the statue's hand. Once you do this, the defense will drop, and you'll be able to open and pass through the gates.

Another Approach

Another option is to pass through a broken window on the second floor. From the location with the statues, proceed left down the corridor to the windows. Climb into the one without bars.

Descend the ladder and battle the Spectator and Dhourn. After the victory, a new passage to the required location will open for you. However, note that the Spectator is a fairly challenging opponent, and fighting it requires skill and preparation.

Is it Possible to Pass the Statues Without Deactivating the Defense?

Yes, it's possible by using the "Stealth" skill and a character with high dexterity. However, if you frequently pass through this location in The Underdark, this approach might become tedious. Therefore, it's better to deactivate the defense and permanently forget about the bothersome statues.
