Reactive backpack, or jetpack – a special type of equipment in Lethal Company that allows you to move freely and quickly around the location without restrictions.

How to Get a Jetpack in Lethal Company

Like other special equipment, you can purchase the jetpack on the spaceship at the terminal. Enter “jetpack” in the search and buy the device for 700 credits. The price is quite high, but it is justified by the convenient and useful functionality.

How to Use the Jetpack

After purchase, wait for the jetpack to be delivered. You can use it immediately upon receipt. The controls are a bit specific, so let's break it down:

• To take off and increase height, hold down the Left Mouse Button (LMB);
• When you reach the desired height, release LMB and press Space;
• Control the character in space with WASD. Do not hold down one of the buttons constantly! Just press once to make the character fly in the desired direction. If you hold, for example, the A or D button, you will start spinning around your axis and won't be able to move forward;
• To change height again, hold LMB and release Space. You can't decrease height with Space held down.

Over time, you will get used to the controls, and you won't have any problems moving on the jetpack. It helps not only to move quickly around the territory but also to escape from monsters, distract them from other players, or transfer small items to the ship and overcome high obstacles.

How to Recharge and Repair the Jetpack

The jetpack operates on a battery and will discharge over time, especially if you use it constantly. You can recharge the device on the spaceship. The charge level is displayed in the top left corner as a yellow bar. The more inventory you carry, the faster the jetpack will discharge. It will also heat up if you use the device for an extended period without stopping.

The jetpack can break due to overheating and overload. In this case, the player won't even be able to take off. To fix this, drop the excess load and take periodic breaks in using the jetpack to prevent overheating. If you ignore the second condition, the jetpack will explode, leading to the destruction of the device and the player. You can't repair the device – you'll have to buy a new one.

Jetpack Not Working in Lethal Company: What to Do?

Main reasons why the jetpack may not work:

• Depleted battery;
• Overload;
• Fuel overheating.

In all other cases, the jetpack should be functional. The device works immediately after purchase and does not require additional activation.
