Zap Gun in Lethal Company is one of the weapons in the game that you can use against monsters. It is one of the most powerful and expensive guns in the terminal, but you need to handle it with care – you can accidentally injure yourself and team members or misuse it against mobs.

How to Get the Zap Gun

You can purchase the Zap Gun in the terminal for 400 credits. Here's how to do it:

1. Board the spaceship and interact with the terminal;
2. To enter the store, type “store”;
3. Type the item name: “zap gun” and confirm the purchase by entering: “confirm”.

Immediately after that, the item will be sent for delivery. Wait until it arrives on the moon.

How to Use the Zap Gun

Take the Zap Gun in your hand, aim, and press Left Mouse Button (LMB). Note that the weapon can hit team members. The shocker emits an electric beam that temporarily paralyzes the enemy and immobilizes it.

The current will periodically shift from the target to the left or right. The player needs to move the mouse in the opposite direction to keep the beam in place and prevent it from oscillating.

The downside of the Zap Gun is that it requires constant recharging. The charge level is displayed as a yellow bar in the upper left corner. Once the charge is depleted, the device will start emitting smoke. You can recharge the shocker on the spaceship at the charging station.

Effective Against Which Monsters

The Zap Gun is suitable for neutralizing all monsters, especially large and powerful ones, such as Turrets, Jester, Ghost Girl in Red Dress, Forest Keeper, and others.

Some monsters are immune to any damage, and the only thing you can do is run away. These mobs include the likes of Ghost Girl, Manticoil, Roaming Locust, Earth Leviathan, and others. Strike with the Zap Gun and try to escape as quickly as possible.

The Zap Gun is an excellent weapon that requires some getting used to. We do not recommend buying it in the early stages of the game as it is quite expensive. Accumulate credits and provide the team with basic equipment. After getting used to the basic mechanics, consider purchasing the Zap Gun.
