Since the early release of Starfield, only a couple of days have passed, and players have already found an issue that significantly affects gameplay comfort – the inability to change the field of view. In this guide, we will explain how to fix this issue without installing additional files and mods.

How to Change the Field of View in Starfield: Instructions

Follow these simple steps:

• Navigate to the path: C:\Users\*Username*\Documents\My Games\Starfield;
• In the specified folder, create an empty text document in .txt format;
• Name it: StarfieldCustom.ini;
• In the file, sequentially enter the following lines: 1) [Camera]; 2) fFPWorldFOV = 100.0000 – for first-person view; 3) fTPWorldFOV = 100.0000 – for third-person view;
• Save the changes and close the file.

As a result, the line should look like this:

[Camera]  fFPWorldFOV=X  fTPWorldFOV=X

You can change the value "100" to suit your preferences. This method only works on PC. Unfortunately, there is currently no manual option to change the field of view on consoles.
