Many people have played Diablo II and its expansion pack, Lord of Destruction. This iconic game has been around for over 20 years. Every corner of all the locations that the player-controlled character visited has been explored, and the number of monsters slain is simply uncountable.

And now, the developers have decided to remake this game, improving the graphics and some other gameplay elements. Thus, Diablo II: Resurrected was born, meeting the requirements of modernity. The legendary RPG is back!

Undoubtedly, veterans of this RPG will find something familiar and be able to recall the main aspects of the game, thus quickly immersing themselves in the gameplay.

For those who are about to discover this amazing and perilous world of Diablo 2, here are some tips that will be useful during your playthrough.

  • Do not underestimate mercenaries. You will encounter them periodically in various locations. They will gladly provide you with assistance for a fee. Alternatively, you can receive them as a reward for completing certain quests. Mercenaries are characters just like everyone else in this game, so they can be killed. To prevent this from happening or to delay it, pay attention to your mercenary's equipment. Equip them as you see fit. It is also recommended to periodically upgrade their gear.
  • In the early stages of the game, wear anything you can find. This will increase your character's chances of survival until you become more familiar with the game.
  • Use key combinations to speed up the gameplay. Here are some examples of such combinations:
  • When collecting items for sale, it is not recommended to pick up damaged items. The reason is simple: you won't get much money for them, but they will occupy inventory space. Try to collect potions, charms, magical items, or scepters. Throwing knives are also worth considering.
  • Think carefully and weigh everything before allocating skill points. The thing is, you can only reset your character's skills once. In other words, there won't be much room for error. It is recommended to first familiarize yourself with build guides. This will help you better understand what to prioritize. Skills play a significant role here, especially when facing powerful monsters.
  • To level up your hero and gather loot for selling, simply start the game. Why? Because when you start, all the monsters present in the location will respawn. This will be useful if your character needs to gain strength before further exploration.

  • Remember the importance of items like tomes of scrolls and town portals. Tomes allow you to unload your inventory by storing identified scrolls. Additionally, they serve an important function in the game, and losing them is not an option. Town portals allow your character to travel between locations.
  • Participate in gambling games. Winning them can grant you items that are available in higher acts. You can play such a game with merchants. It requires a significant amount of money, but the potential outcome is worth it.
  • Don't skimp on weapons and equipment if you understand that it's necessary for successful progression. The further you progress through the story, the more gold will be left on the battlefield near slain enemies.
  • Thoroughly examine stones, chests, and other items found in locations. They may conceal valuable items that are not always obtainable from defeated enemies. This is especially true for precious gems and amulets.
  • Pay attention to the attributes of weapons, especially their "class" and "speed." This will allow you to choose a weapon that will maximize your effectiveness in battle and align with your preferred combat style.
  • If your character is defeated and dies in combat, they will return to the camp or town. From there, you can embark on an expedition to the location of the lost battle to retrieve your items and equipment that remain on the battlefield and do not disappear.
  • In the case that a player prefers to fight using ranged weapons, it is necessary to keep track of the ammunition quantity. If it runs out, the weapon becomes useless. However, it's not advisable to discard such weapons since you can replenish the charges later.
  • Press and hold Ctrl while right-clicking on a specific item in your inventory to quickly sell it to a merchant. This can be a great alternative to dragging items from your inventory to the merchant.
  • Shift + Right-click. This combination is useful if you intend to purchase items in bulk, such as scrolls for tomes.
  • Pressing the Alt key will reveal all items that have dropped on the ground. This saves time as you won't have to search for and select what can be picked up and what is not useful.

These are just some tips that can make the game a little easier, especially in the beginning. You can decide whether to use them or not. But in any case, they won't do any harm.
