The order in which players must open the biomes is as follows: Meadows, Black Forest, Swamp, Mountains, Plains, and Ocean.
The beginning of Valheim game unfolds in the expanses of the Meadows biome, where you will get acquainted with the most basic game moments. The Meadow is the place where you will find the simplest and most passive enemies, be able to farm basic materials and much more.
However, as soon as you leave this place, you will fight with tougher and more aggressive enemies. The difficulty will only increase as you move to other biomes. All the main biomes have a boss and a special order that you must follow if you want to go the right way.
How to open biomes in Valheim
Here is the actual evolution of the biome that you can follow. We will update this information as Valheim updates. The developers plan to make a total of nine bosses, and now there are only five in the game.
- Meadows and forests.
- Schwarzwald.
- Swamp.
- Mountains.
- Fields.
- Misty Lands (no boss yet).
Right now we are waiting for the next Valheim update, but it will have nothing to do with the next boss or the Misty Lands. The expected patch will affect the tools for creating a home, culinary recipes and expanding food options.
The Misty Lands update will be the fourth in a row, and at the moment no one has any information about the release date.
