The plot of PUBG New State will unfold in 2051 on an entirely unknown map of Troi. As you already understood, the events will take place in the future, far beyond the main line of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds.
The creators promise players a lot of new, including weapons and protective equipment. See the screenshots? It seems there are references to Call of Duty.
Developers will also introduce extended weapon modifications directly during the match. Honestly, it looks a bit like the same option in Apex Legends.
The game's release promises to be very anticipated - PUBG New State is planned to be released in 2021. You can play with both Android and iOS.
