There will be no amnesty for accounts with VAC bans in Counter-Strike 2

After the announcement of the long-awaited CS 2, it became known that CS:GO accounts will receive an update to the new version without losing their skins. Players immediately became interested in what would happen to accounts previously blocked by VAC and whether this would affect the closed beta test of Counter-Strike 2. Valve developers officially answered players' questions as follows:

  • Accounts that have received VAC bans will not be able to participate in the game's beta test;
  • After the game is released, accounts previously banned by VAC will remain blocked, and their status will be visible in the new version of the game;
  • During testing, Valve noted that there will be common time-based bans in competitive mode between CS 2 and CS:GO.
