Fatality is the final move in the Mortal Kombat series of games, used to finish off an opponent when their health bar is depleted. It's the signature move of Mortal Kombat, setting it apart from other fighting games.

As in previous installments, the second Fatality in Mortal Kombat 1 is hidden from the player. By default, only one finishing move is available. In this guide, we will explain how to unlock the second Fatality and what conditions are required for it.

How to Unlock the Second Fatality

The second Fatality will appear in the pause menu after reaching level 14 of mastery. Your level will increase as you participate in events and battles. You will earn XP (experience points) for each battle.

How to Use the Second Fatality

Performing a Fatality during a battle is no different from previous games:

• Engage in a battle and reduce the opponent's XP level to zero.
• When the text "Finish Him/Finish Her" appears on the screen, quickly input the commands and buttons that appear on the screen. You must do this before the timer runs out.

Keep in mind that for each Fatality, you need to be at a different distance from your opponent. The distance required to perform a Fatality will vary for each character.
