Combo in mortal Kombat 1 – is a series of powerful strikes that can be very dangerous when your fighter's HP is close to zero. A single series can take away half of the health, so the best option is to interrupt and block the combo execution.

We will tell you how to do this in the guide.

How to use a combo-breaker

To interrupt a combo in MK1, use the combo-breaker (Kombo Breaker). This is a sequence of buttons, universal for each character. You can view it in the abilities menu during the fight in the “Breakers” section.

Which buttons to press on different devices:

  • For PC: "Forward" + "Block" on O;
  • For PlayStation: "Forward" on D + R2;
  • For Xbox: "Forward" on D + RT;
  • For Nintendo Switch: "Forward" on D + R.

The combo block is performed by a cameo-fighter. He flies onto the battlefield, blocks the combo, then disappears, and you can continue to attack.

An essential condition for executing a combo-breaker is a fully filled yellow bar in the lower left corner, under your fighter. As soon as all three divisions are highlighted, you can interrupt the opponent's combo. After using the ability, the bar will be fully depleted, and you will need to accumulate energy again for another interruption.

By the way, you can interrupt not only regular combos but also a Fatal Blow. After the interruption, a corresponding inscription – Breaker will appear on the screen.
