Search
To obtain Netherite, you will need to venture into the Nether! The resource can be found anywhere in the dimension. However, finding the precious ore right away is not easy because it is quite rare. It's also important to note that Netherite Scrap and Ancient Debris are different things. Initially, we mine Ancient Debris. Typically, players descend to levels 7-24 blocks above the bedrock (the bedrock layer). At this height, the occurrence of Netherite increases.
Mining Technique. Lifehack
It's important to remember that mining Netherite can only be done with a diamond pickaxe! Any other tool will simply break the ore without dropping anything.
Players often spend a considerable amount of time searching for Ancient Debris. This is because many players use the classic method of digging long tunnels. While this method can eventually lead to finding the desired ore, it can be time-consuming. Players have come up with a specific lifehack for finding Ancient Debris.
To begin, you'll need to acquire some dynamite. The more, the better. Next, place them in a row, digging a short distance in length beforehand. Then simply detonate them!
After a series of explosions, check the area for the presence of Ancient Debris. The ore has a blast resistance of 6000, which means no amount of dynamite can destroy it. That's the essence of the entire lifehack. The blocks will simply hang in the air while ordinary Netherrack disappears. From there, all that's left is to mine the precious resource and collect the drops.
Smelting. Crafting
Ancient Debris is needed to obtain Netherite Scrap. It is obtained by smelting Ancient Debris in a furnace. It can also be occasionally found in chests found in Bastion Remnants, one of the structures in the Nether.
Netherite Scrap is not yet in ingot form. It is a material used to obtain Netherite Ingots. Additionally, you'll need gold because Netherite Ingots are crafted as follows:
Netherite Ingots can be used to craft armor, weapons, and tools. However, the process is slightly different. Firstly, you'll need a Smithing Table. Secondly, the crafting process resembles upgrading diamond armor to a new level.
Interesting Facts
- Netherite and all its derivatives are the only items that do not burn in lava. They also have the ability to float on the surface. However, like other items in the game, they can be destroyed by cacti.
- By crafting a Lodestone with a Netherite Ingot, you can create a Compass that does not lose its orientation in the Nether. However, the Lodestone Compass does not have fire resistance.
- Netherite blocks can be pushed by pistons, while Obsidian, its closest relative in terms of blast resistance, cannot.
- When crafting Netherite armor, all enchantments from the Diamond armor are preserved.
- Netherite Ingots are the first alloy in the game, as they require a crafting recipe.
- Netherite became the first material added in the last 10 years that can be used to craft armor, tools, and weapons.
All the knowledge listed above will be very useful in the world of Minecraft, especially for newcomers and people who have come from older versions. So it's worth building a portal to the Nether quickly and embarking on the journey of finding the precious Netherite!
