While progressing through the storyline and exploring various caves, you will encounter a petrified girl named Kukajin. Talk to her. She will tell you her story and ask you to break the curse on her. The player is given two choices to solve this task. Find out which one to choose and what reward awaits you from this guide.

Where to Find the Statue

The enchanted girl can be found in the Forsaken Fen location. The closest location to it is the Vestige of Valada.

Move to them and find a burning campfire nearby, set up next to the cave entrance. Cut through the obstructing vines and enter. You will hear a mysterious song being sung by the petrified Kukajin. Follow the sound to find her.

How to Solve the Statue Puzzle

The player is given two choices to solve the puzzle.

First. Use one of the Radiant spells or an item with this property, such as the Empyrean Grenade. If you have upgraded this type of magic, the following skills will work:

• Cleaning Spring. Requires 8 Radiance attribute points.
• Sanctify. Requires 18 Radiance attribute points.

Cast these spells to break the enchantments that turned the girl into stone.

Afterward, Kukajin will appear as a merchant in the Skyrest Bridge location. Additionally, after freeing her, you can summon her as an assistant in boss battles:

• The Hushed Saint
• Spurned Progeny
• Tancred Master of Castigations
• The Lightreaper
• The Sundered Monarch
• Elianne the Starved

Second. Simply shatter the statue. The girl will die, and you will receive Kukajin's Sword and access to Wilmarc's Catalyst as a reward. You can read more about these items in this weapon guide.
