In Souls-like games, magic holds a special place. Gameplay as a wizard differs significantly from ordinary characters with melee weapons. In Lords of the Fallen (2023), there are quite a few spells and buffs. In this guide, you'll learn about the best spells in each of the schools, as well as how and where to level up your magical skills.

Magic in LotF (2023)

There are three schools of magic in the game: Inferno (magic of the chaos god Adyr), Radiant (magic of the divine god Orius), and Umbral (magic of the shadowy world of the goddess of death). It's best to choose one school based not only on gameplay preferences but also on the character's characteristics.

Locations of Spell Merchants

Spells, like any equipment item, can be dropped by defeated mobs and bosses or found in chests. But another way to acquire a new spell is to buy it from a merchant.

In the Skyrest Bridge location, near the boss arena, there is a merchant who sells Inferno spells. However, you need to unlock it first. You can learn how to do this in this guide.

You can purchase a spell from Domarose The Marked, located in the Pilgrim's Perch location. She sells one Inferno spell.

Some of the Radiant spells can be purchased from Exacter Dunmire in the Skyrest Bridge location. In the same location, you can also purchase Umbral spells from Molhu. There is another merchant on the bridge who will sell a couple of spells - Stomund, Captain of the Fidelis.
