The Tortured Prisoner - one of the mysterious non-playable characters in the game, who after being released will become an Inferno spell merchant. To free her, you need to complete a quest. In this guide, you'll find out where to find and how to release the prisoner.

Where the Tortured Prisoner is located

The character we need is located in the Skyrest Bridge location inside one of the locked prison cells.

To get there, you need to find the keys to the Skyrest Bridge. From the Vestige of Chabui, head to the lifting mechanism, use it, and walk across several bridges.

Upon reaching the beginning of the ridge, you will see a statue from which you can extract the key.

Return to the bridge, use the key, and enter the crypt.

How to solve the Skyrest Bridge puzzle

Enter the shadow world, and next to the prisoner's cell, climb to the top until you see tombs and a suspension bridge. As soon as you enter the arch, turn towards the top right corner of the wall and you will see one of the Umbral tumors. Destroy it.

The second tumor is located near the left wall of the bridge.

Destroy it, thereby activating a moving stone platform. Jump onto it and turn back, and you will discover the third tumor.

After destroying it, on the other shore, you will see part of the puzzle. Destroy the tumor and use the stairs to get off the platform.

Climb the right side of the wall illuminated by light, destroy another shadow tumor, and pick up the Inferno Catalyst called Searing Accusation.

Return to the prisoner and give her the catalyst. You won't be able to engage in a conversation with her, something incomprehensible is wrapped around her head, preventing her from speaking.

Return to the Main Hall of the Skyrest Bridge location and rest near the nearest remains.

Return to the prisoner, and you'll see that the cell is open. Take the Tortured Prisoner's Head Cage item.

The freed prisoner will now become a merchant at the top of the Skyrest Bridge and can also be summoned as an assistant during a boss fight.
