All the secrets and easter eggs in Lethal Company

5 jan 2024 at 11:04

At first glance, Lethal Company is a fun cooperative horror game for a good time with friends, attempting to escape from terrifying monsters and earn as many credits as possible to meet the quota. However, users have discovered references and secrets that make the seemingly simple Lethal Company much more interesting and deeper.

This guide compiles all known secrets and Easter eggs in Lethal Company that you can discover right now.

The Mansion

The Mansion is one of the types of locations you can explore in Lethal Company. Players usually come across bases, bunkers, and industrial spaces, but not cozy homes. The Mansion can be found on two moons as you explore Lethal Company: Dine and Rend. These moons are suitable for more experienced players who have accumulated enough credits for upgraded equipment.

The Mansion's feature: more dangerous monsters and valuable loot. It's better to explore the area with a group of several players.

Submarine

You can find a submarine on the moon Gordion in the abandoned Company complex. The building is on the lower floor, which can be accessed through a hatch in the floor. The submarine is connected by wires to a terminal and looks operational, but the player cannot activate or interact with it in any way.

Currently, it's unknown what the submarine is for and whether it can be used in upcoming updates. Perhaps, it's a reference to experiments and research conducted on this moon in the past.

Sigurd's Journal Entries

Sigurd's Journal is a collection of notes that you can read in Lethal Company to learn a bit more about the surrounding world. To do this:

  1. Board the spacecraft and interact with the terminal;
  2. Enter the command: “Sigurd”;
  3. Next, a list of entries about the Company, some monsters, and moons will appear on the screen.

Essentially, this is a small introductory information shedding light on what is happening in the game.

Backrooms

Escape the Backrooms – a cooperative horror game that is a labyrinth of identical corridors where creepy monsters spawn. The player's task is to find the exit and escape, exploring the location and trying not to get stuck in another dead end. The game is based on an urban legend and creepypasta about the Backrooms, or Backstage, a place with unnaturally empty office spaces and distinctive yellow-green wallpapers.

The developers of Lethal Company made references to the creepypasta and created a room resembling part of the Backrooms labyrinth. It's a small location with many corridors and doors. Despite theories and speculations, particularly dangerous and strong monsters don't spawn in them. It's just a spooky area reminiscent of the well-known legend.

Sky View

The world in Lethal Company is quite bleak, shrouded in mist, and players cannot see anything beyond the horizon except for forests, deserts, and monsters. But if you decide to climb slightly higher, for example, on a structure or a tree, you can see the skybox, identical for each moon – a blue sky with fluffy clouds, roads, residential buildings, and structures. Perhaps, beyond the nightmare in which Operatives and the Corporation exist, there is an ordinary world not inhabited by creepy creatures and dangerous monsters.

You can see the hidden sky with a jetpack, but you need to accumulate enough credits for that.

Girl in the Red Dress

Girl in the Red Dress is not a reference to anything specific but represents one of the main mysteries in Lethal Company.

This is a mysterious mob that looks like an innocent little girl and doesn't herald its appearance with loud sounds. The only things that may indicate the presence of the mob are flickering lights and faint sounds: otherworldly whispers and giggles. The girl appears in the corners of dark corridors and rooms, initially just observing the Operative without attacking.

Initially, players thought that the Girl in the Red Dress was a myth invented by other users or added with mods. The monster appeared rarely, so not all players could witness its appearance. However, over time, it became clear that the mob indeed exists. Escaping from her is easy, and sometimes impossible. The girl cannot be killed. The best you can do when you notice her appearance is to run away immediately or hide on the spacecraft.

What's especially eerie about the monster is that it is visible only to one player – the one it is hunting. All other Operatives won't notice anything suspicious. However, if the ghost kills the first target, it will immediately switch to another team member until it eliminates everyone.

It rightfully stands as one of the scariest and most mysterious monsters you can encounter in Lethal Company at the moment.
