How to win more often in Knockout City

The recently released Knockout City has captivated fans of competitive games with its simple and engaging gameplay. In addition to the exciting gameplay, the game encourages players to think strategically and react quickly.

However, newcomers often have questions about their defeats: why there are so many and how to avoid them. We have prepared a small list of useful tips that will help improve your gameplay skills.

Interact with your team

Knockout City is a team game. Winning alone is not possible, so don't hesitate to use voice chat and try to coordinate with your team. The easiest way is to invite friends to the game, as it will ensure synergy and understanding.

Don't forget to turn into a ball

There is a gameplay feature: your character can transform into a ball that can be picked up and thrown by teammates. If you use this trick at the right time and one of your teammates hits an opponent with the ball, they will be knocked out, and your team will earn additional points.

However, keep in mind that if your teammate misses, the opponent can pick up the character and send them back, giving the opposing team an opportunity to earn extra points.

Don't hesitate to perform curved shots

In Knockout City, there are two types of throws: regular and curved. Regular throws are self-explanatory, but curved throws involve the ball flying in an arched trajectory. It's almost impossible to defend against such an attack. It's the easiest way to "knock out" an opponent and earn extra points for your team.

Don't forget the proper throwing technique: press the shoot button first, and then quickly press the spin button. As soon as the ball in your character's hand reaches full power, immediately release it towards the opponent!

Utilize special ball modifications

At the start of each match, try to use all possible ball modifications. The developers have added bomb balls, sniper variants, and even trap balls to the game! By using the various abilities of these balls effectively, you can outplay your opponents. However, it will take some effort to learn the abilities of each combat projectile.

Don't play alone – pass the ball

Sometimes players get lucky and catch the ball. They score points thanks to that, but what if the game is not going well and your teammates are running around without the ball? The answer is simple – make effective passes. The main condition for victory is the number of points that can only be scored by using a combat projectile.

Most importantly – catch the ball

When the ball is headed straight toward you, your main task is to catch it. If the ball is not caught, the points will go to the opponents. The objective of the game is straightforward – catch the projectiles in time and send them back to your opponents.

For beginners, it is highly recommended to practice catching skills. The more accurately you redirect the projectile toward the opponent, the more effective you will be on the battlefield. Just remember that if the ball is glowing purple, it has the potential to knock out an opponent.

Deceive opponents with fake throws

The simple tactic of "catch the ball and immediately throw it back" doesn't work. A simple throw can be easily controlled and blocked. Knockout City forces players to not only develop their reaction time but also their tactical thinking, as the developers have added the ability to perform fake throws.

This move is executed by pressing a specific button. The character starts the throwing motion, the corresponding animation plays, but the combat projectile remains in the character's hand. This allows you to confuse and intimidate opponents in crucial moments. If the fake throw is successful, it provides additional time for a real, stronger, and more accurate throw, or for something else entirely.
