Features of Devastators 

Devastators appear on any difficulty level and are one of the most common types of enemies in the game. Well-armed, they have a high defense rating and can deal a lot of HP damage with cannon and missile attacks. They are easily identifiable among the crowd by their characteristic appearance: large arms and legs clad in armor, and a small head behind which rises a gear, resembling a halo. 

There are three main types of Devastators depending on the weapons they use:

• Standard - attacks with cannons;
• Heavy - attacks with machine guns, uses shields;
• Rocket - equipped with shoulder-mounted multi-rocket launchers dealing huge damage. 

The mob has the following characteristics:

• High defense rating. Devastator is equipped with impressive armor, so you'll need good weapons. The enemy easily withstands machine gun bursts, and not just one;
• Slow movement speed. Devastator approaches not swiftly but gradually. This gives the player time to react to its appearance and choose the right weapon;
• Heavy Devastator's shields. They belong to heavy armor, susceptible only to large-caliber weapons. However, they do not protect the head and machine gun arm, which can be shot off;
• When the Rocket Devastator activates its launcher, it pauses between attacks and leans forward to aim the rockets. Remember this signal. 

Despite its strength, Devastator has several weak points, knowing which you can easily defeat the enemy. 

How to Defeat Devastators: Tips

To quickly deal with Automatons and avoid their attacks, follow these recommendations:

• The weak point of Devastator is its small head protruding from the center of the armor. Hitting the head is a universal way to deal with all types of Devastators;
• Other weakened areas include the lower back and arms;
• The Rocket Devastator is one of the most dangerous enemies you can encounter. The best defense against its powerful attacks is to target the rocket blocks and stun, which will prevent rocket launch;
• The best weapon for precise shooting is a sniper rifle;
• Usually, Devastator attacks not alone but in a group with smaller and faster mobs. If a crowd of enemies is closing in on you, don't focus on the Devastator and try to shoot down the fast-approaching Automatons first;
• Use grenade launchers;
• Deliver aerial strikes - this reduces the likelihood of Devastator's projectiles hitting you.

You'll need any powerful long-range weapon with armor-piercing rounds: Anti-Material Rifle APW-1, PLAS-1 Scorcher, AR-23P Liberator Penetrator, CE-74 Breaker, and others. Don't forget about the secondary gun that you can switch to for quick shooting at other, weaker enemies.
