Shroud Wood in Enshrouded is a resource that can be found in the open world within the Shroud zone. This is a special type of wood that you will need to create more advanced equipment and structures at the beginning of the game. The territories covered by the Shroud are quite dangerous, so in this guide, you will learn how to obtain Shroud Wood and prepare for the search. 

Where to Find Shroud Wood

Shroud Wood is the product of the interaction between regular wood and the Shroud. The resource cannot be crafted, and the only way to obtain it is in the open world. Head to any area covered by the Shroud. It's not necessary to go to a specific location. 

The Shroud is a dense fog that players may encounter during gameplay. Visibility here is significantly reduced, and the time spent is severely limited. A character can be in the Shroud zone without harm to health for 5 minutes. The timer is displayed in the center of the screen as a yellow bar. To refresh the timer, exit to a free area and return to the Shroud, and continue this until you gather the required amount of Shroud Wood. 

How to Obtain Shroud Wood

There is nothing complicated in harvesting the resource. The only thing you need to do is to consider the time limit and prepare equipment in advance. Create an axe or any weapon suitable for chopping trees. The higher the level, the better. The power of the axe affects the chopping speed. Approach any tree growing in the Shroud zone and interact with it to chop it down. 

Periodically, you will come across remnants of human structures that can also be chopped down. Note that ordinary wood, not Shroud Wood, will drop in this case. To refresh the location and chop down the trees again, restart the game session. 

What Shroud Wood is Used For

The resource is needed for crafting the following items:

• Glider - a convenient and efficient means of transportation;
• Axe;
• Pickaxe;
• Block of Shroud Wood;
• Spiritual Cane. 

You can create items at the workbench, the axe at the Blacksmith, and the cane at the Alchemist.
