Birds with Broken Wings - a narrative quest in which V, along with Alena "Alex" Xenakis and Solomon Reed, will begin implementing the plan to save Song So Mi.

The mission will start automatically after the previous one - "Black or Red" (You Know My Name).

Solomon will begin to sway V to his side, convincing him that they need to find, intercept, and help So Mi.

"I have contacts in Europe. We will find the best clinic. They will cure you and get you back on your feet if we bring this medicine of yours. But first, I need to help So Mi, calm her down. I fear she doesn’t understand what she’s doing."

Return to the hideout and talk to your companions

Exit the "Black Sapphire" hotel building, where you completed the previous quest. Return to "The Moth" bar and go downstairs to Alex's hideout. The girl will be sitting next to Solomon. Approach them and start a dialogue, in which the companions will discuss the details of the upcoming task and ways to save Song So Mi from Kurt Hansen.

To do this, Alex will suggest intercepting the car of the twin netrunners - Aurore and Aymeric Cassel, who are associated with Hansen. Capturing the twins is essential for the primary goal - kidnapping their identities and infiltrating the stadium undercover. You will be executing this plan with Alex.

Simply hacking the car won't be possible - you'll need to gain access to the station controlling the car. One of the transmitters is located near a chapel.

Hack the transmitters

Head to the Longshore Stacks area using the marker Alex pointed out. Climb a small staircase leading to a convenience store. Then, Song So Mi will contact you, updating you on the situation and scheduling a meeting around 23:00-01:00.

Then, follow Alex's assignment. Climb to the first transmitter and deal with it. Be aware that you'll need to handle a couple of enemies up there. Alex will then send the location of the second transmitter, but V will decide to meet with So Mi first.

Speak with So Mi from 23:00 to 01:00

Wait for the designated time and follow the marker. So Mi will schedule the meeting in the Pacifica Boulevard area, near a partially destroyed building.

The girl will be waiting for you and will start a very candid conversation. She truly worked for Hansen secretly from the president but was unaware of his true intentions. However, collaborating with Rosalinda and Solomon does not seem the best option to her. In the end, So Mi will conclude that she truly desires freedom and a remedy to free her from the influence of "The Blackwall" and a slow death.

At this stage, So Mi essentially offers V a partnership to achieve a joint goal - obtaining the medicine. The main character can side with the girl and act against Reed's directions. Specifically, in this dialogue, there will be no major choices - you can pick a side later on.

Speak with Luka

After speaking with Somi, you can get back to your initial task. To deal with the second transmitter, head to the stadium parking. You need to climb onto the roof of a small residential building and head to Luka's shelter (Luka).

If you have a sufficient level of Intelligence skill (15), you can disable the transmitter remotely. Otherwise, speak with Luka and ask for help. For this favor, they will ask for 1,000 credits. If you refuse at first, the kid will reduce the amount to a mere 10 credits.

Hack the second transmitter

Once you've paid for the hint, return and reboot the device Luka pointed out. After that, you'll be able to hack the transmitter. Download the data and obtain the encryption key from the twin-netrunners' machine.

Meet with Alex (optional)

Fast forward a few hours to immediately get in touch with Reid, or spend time with Alex. Choosing the latter, you'll unlock a sweet near-romantic scene where V and Alex get to know each other a bit better.

If you choose Alex, who will suggest relaxing and downing a couple of glasses, head to the "Butterfly" bar. The girl will open up and share feelings similar to Soyka's – she doesn't like working for FRU. It was never her dream, and truly, Alex sees herself in a completely different field – a stage where she can showcase her inherent artistry. Meeting demands and pleasing superiors are not her stories.

After meeting with Alex, exit the bar and wait a few hours to call Solomon and get back to the mission.

Embark on the operation

Reid will inform you that you need to undergo an imprint operation, which will help take on the appearance of one of the twins.

For this, visit Farida's clinic. Approach the building and use the intercom. To have the woman let you in, choose the reply: "I heard you collect souvenirs from the Unifying War times."

Farida and Reid will be waiting for you inside, next to the medical chair. Interact with it to begin the implant operation and complete the quest.

After the operation, V will wake up and immediately the next task will start - I've Seen That Face Before.
