All Russian Easter eggs in Cyberpunk 2077: USSR, Brother, Yards and more
Cyberpunk 2077 continues to delight users with its references and Easter eggs. Much has already been said about most of them, but players continue to discover all the new and fresh details.
In this compilation, we will tell you about all the Easter eggs that will be enjoyable/understandable only to residents of the CIS. Let's go!
Reference to the movie "Brother"
I think it's unnecessary to explain details about such a famous movie. In one of the dialogues in the game Cyberpunk 2077, during a mission to find a Soviet spy, we can observe an exact quote of famous lines from "Brother" spoken by two guards.
- I think that the power is in the truth, not in the money. Whoever has the truth in their hands is stronger.
Items with Soviet names
As we have already noticed, Cyberpunk 2077 features a huge amount of Soviet weapons. For example: the biogrenade "Molodets," the revolver "Molot Tovarishcha," the rifle "Grad," and others. You may have also noticed that sometimes on the radio and in videos, we hear references to the Soviet Union.
The Union of Soviet Sovereign Republics (USSR) is a 21st-century energy and military superpower, an ally of the European community.
The "Caucasus" Truck in Cyberpunk 2077
You can also encounter vehicles with Soviet names. Let's take the example of the "Caucasus" truck, which is quite common on the streets of Night City. There is also an interesting detail here - when scanning the small model of the "Caucasus" truck, the description mentions the "Stakhanovets" magazine.
In the Russian translation, we can see the following amendments made by the translators:
The "Stakhanovets" magazine named it the car of the year for five years because in the popular vote, it consistently received 146%.
Gopniks in Cyberpunk 2077
You can often see guys squatting around Night City.
Characters
In the mission "Olive Branch," you will meet a character named Sergei. Read more about him and the quest here.
You can also encounter the famous singer and composer Nina Kraviz as a ripperdoc, as well as find an image of the well-known blogger BadComedian on billboards.
Undoubtedly, in the game, you can find a lot of vulgar inscriptions on the walls, but whether they are the work of developers or translators is still unclear.
