The Fastest Completion of Cyberpunk 2077: How to Beat the Game in 3 Hours?

28 dec 2020 at 11:58

While console players complain about the terrible performance of Cyberpunk 2077 and playing on PC without mods becomes impossible, speedrunners seize the opportunity to exploit game bugs!

The ability to complete the game quickly in just a few hours delights many users. Recently, the world record for the fastest completion of Cyberpunk 2077 was broken: the game time was only 3 hours, 22 minutes, and 30 seconds.

We warn you that you may not be able to complete the game in exactly 3 hours, especially if you are playing it for the first time. Even if you cannot complete the game in the specified time, you can still complete it quickly (by focusing only on main missions). Be aware of major spoilers ahead!

A few days ago, the record was beaten by a whole 7 minutes. Speedrunner Hitchyy set the new record. If you want to quickly complete Cyberpunk 2077 without wasting extra time, our guide is for you. This guide will provide a detailed description of how to complete the game in just 3 hours. By the way, the ending of the fast completion may not be the best. Let's get started!

Full Chronology of Fast Completion in Cyberpunk 2077

So, we begin our speedrun with creating V. Embrace your creative "self" and get to work. It's worth admitting that it's truly an engaging process.

Note: Do not choose the Nomad life path, as you cannot complete the game quickly with it. Choose either Corporate or Street Kid.

Speedrunner Hitchyy, who set the record, chose the Corporate path in their playthrough.

After the prologue, head to Jackie Welles to complete the quest "The Rescue". If you have already played the game, you know that you need to break into the scavengers' apartment and rescue the hostage. All you need to do is quickly eliminate the enemies and save the girl.

Continue with the main story: get into Jackie's car (you don't have to shoot the pursuers, as they will crash into a pole eventually) and go home.

The first act of the game begins. Quest: "The Heist"

Go and earn some money to afford the mandatory implants. You can check out our earning guide or follow the speedrunner's strategy: head to points where organized crime gathers. From the two closest points, you can earn around 1000 Eurodollars.

Go to Jackie and drive to the ripperdoc. Install the "Kerenzikov" implant. You'll find out why it's necessary later.

Then, meet with Dexter. He will explain what to do next and where to go.

Quest: "The Pickup"

Now, head to the Maelstrom gang to buy a military robot. Since we didn't meet with Meredith beforehand, we don't actually have the money to purchase the bot. The only option is to eliminate everyone and take it for free. Only kill those who need to be killed for the quest (or those who get in your way) and run away from there!

Quest: "The Information"

Next, go to the Lizzie's Bar, where Evelyn will be waiting for you with another job.

Now let's talk about the Kerenzikov implant. The record was set before the release of the new patch. Kerenzikov had a bug that allowed for fast movement. Initially, it was designed to slow down time, but with the help of the glitch, you can create magical legs.

Here's how to do it: During slow motion, lower your weapon, dodge, and start jumping.

Once you reach the cafe, listen to the dialogues. Then connect to the braindance, but only scan the objects necessary for the mission.

Quest: "The Heist"

The main rule for speedrunners is to rush and sprint through the corridors, even if they are told not to. The same applies here: run through the corridors and kill the guy near the elevator to take the access card.

Then, proceed as usual: shoot down the drones on the street and make your way to the hotel. Then, successfully take a bullet to the head.

Quest: "The Fool"

Enter Johnny's body. During the helicopter shootout, the speedrunner takes out all the enemies in the first round.

If you don't care about every second of the speedrun, you can kill them in whatever way is convenient for you.

Act 2 Begins. Quest: "The Information"

After meeting Takemura in the quest "Never Fade Away," head to Lizzie's Bar. There, we meet Judy, who will give us a task. Go to Clouds club and do the following: at the club entrance, disable the optics of the guard. Once inside the restricted area, run to the door on the left of the entrance and pick up the katana from the box.

Next, go to Woodman and choose the following answers: "I'm looking for Evelyn," "Let's make a deal," "I'll pay for the information," "I have no idea who's behind the Tiger Claws," "The girl I'm looking for is connected to Arasaka."

Then, go to Fingers.

Quests: "Ex-Factor," "The Gig," "Double Life," "Riders on the Storm"

Before entering Fingers' place, focus on leveling up: increase your Strength to 8 and Technical Ability to 7, and invest the rest in Reflexes. Without this, you won't be able to open locked doors along the way. Interrogate Fingers and go to the braindance dealer at the market for additional information.

What you do: ask to see interesting items, exit the menu, hit the vendor, and take the items for free.

Go to Judy's van, watch the braindance, and scan only the objects related to the plot. After that, you'll find out where Evelyn is and go to rescue her. Go with Judy to the Maelstrom gang. Find Evelyn (if you want to be faster, simply run past the enemies). Once you're in Judy's apartment, she'll show you two more braindances. From them, you'll learn that Evelyn worked for the Voodoo Boys.

Meet Takemura and his comrade, then go to the fixer. Obtain information about the parade organized by Arasaka. Next, go to the Voodoo Boys for information about the scientist who developed the chip (pay 15,000 eddies). Alternatively, you can sell the stolen items to the bartender.
