Music Groups in Cyberpunk 2077
Still unreleased, Cyberpunk 2077 has already managed to captivate its fans with a new level of realism and futuristic gameplay. While progressing through the storyline, players can enjoy tracks by in-game performers and attend their concerts. The creators approached the development of the music system responsibly, resulting in such an amazing outcome!
Samurai
Samurai is a legendary virtual rock band featured throughout the Cyberpunk series, using music as a means of rebellion and resistance against the system. They are prominently portrayed in Cyberpunk 2077, where the real-life punk band Refused portrays them.
Members:
- Johnny Silverhand (vocals and lead/rhythm guitar) - lead singer and founder of the band Samurai;
- Kerry Eurodyne (vocals and lead/rhythm guitar);
- Denny (drums);
- Nancy/Bess Isis (keyboards);
- Henry (bass).
Band History
Samurai started their career as a typical street band, playing in various clubs and bars like The Palladium, Destiny, and Nexus. But one evening at Rainbow Cadenza, a person approached Johnny and Kerry, wanting to book their performance. When the unknown person handed Johnny a business card, the guys realized that he was none other than Jack Masters, the head of "Universal Music." As a result, Samurai signed a 3-year contract with Universal; they recorded tracks and prepared for a tour of major cities around the world. In short - success. It took Samurai only three weeks to top the EuroRadio charts with the single "Blistering Love," followed by their debut album.
The band Samurai disbanded in 2008. Nancy ended up in prison for seven months for throwing her abusive husband off the 83rd floor. All the members supported her, but the seven-month break showed that each of them was heading in different creative directions. Henry (the bassist) started working on a prototype of a human interface. A literal frying accident fried his brain, and he had to restore his mind. Denny (the drummer) joined a band called Mastermind. Nancy changed her name to Bess Isis and later became one of the leading media outlets in the 54 network. Johnny Silverhand and Kerry Eurodyne embarked on
successful solo careers, often touring together as a full-fledged duo.
