References to the Ciri in Cyberpunk 2077

On December 10, the long-awaited sales of Cyberpunk 2077 started, which is why most gamers won't be leaving their homes for at least the next week. Some are eagerly going through the storyline, trying to fully immerse themselves in the world of brand new technologies, while others are searching for... Ciri. Yes, the Witcher 3's child of elder blood clearly hinted that she had visited the Cyberpunk universe.

Airships, implants, megascopes that allow wizards to communicate over long distances. It's worth noting that in the original voiceover, the girl mentions "glass houses." And since Ciri spent six months in this world, could she have left her mark there?

CD Projekt RED refused to comment on theories and fans' requests. Only game director Adam Badowski said that they don't plan to merge gaming universes. They did consider adding at least a cameo by Ciri, but Adam was strongly against it.

But it's no secret that the Polish studio is known not only for their excellent ability to create games but also for including a huge number of Easter eggs in their creations. Despite Adam's negative statement, fans still hoped for a reference. And they got it.

There is a reference to Ciri in Cyberpunk 2077! Don't get too excited because they certainly wouldn't add the character. But in the game, you can find a magazine with an image of Ciri, which makes it clear that The Witcher 3 became the game of the year in this universe.

How to find the reference?

As already known, during character creation, players will be able to choose V's background story. One of the options will make the hero a "corporate rat" from the very beginning, carrying out orders from higher-ups. In this prologue variant, the hero will have a personal office that can be entered and its contents examined. For example, gamers can read emails and even rummage through the desk drawers. It is precisely there that the magazine with Ciri is located.

Many fans were disappointed that they didn't get Ciri's cameo in the game. Nevertheless, we believe that this reference is appropriate and warms the heart when discovered, just like finding an Easter egg related to Geralt. Didn't expect it, did you?

That's the reference to the famous and humorous line by Geralt.

Thank you for reading this article and good luck in playing the long-awaited Cyberpunk 2077!
