Crusader Kings 3: Quick Start by Tribe
You're a gamer who starts playing from scratch every time, or you just like to have control over everything? Congratulations, this guide is for you!
We will tell you how to make a quick start for a newbie in the game Crusader Kings 3. Let's go!
Tips for a Quick Start in Crusader Kings 3
Recently, players have been allowed to create their own characters. This means that you not only have the ability to create incomprehensible beings, but also to change your character depending on what is needed.
We chose Scandinavia as the base for our experiments. It allows us to understand many mechanics in the game.
Choosing a Faction in Crusader Kings 3
Actually, it's easier than it seems - the faction that has more soldiers is stronger. In this area, Uppland and Zealand stand out. From them, you can create Sweden and Denmark.
For example, if you want to give the Vikings a "lighter" experience, then choose something in between - Vestfold.
Creating a Character in Crusader Kings 3
It's not worth spending a lot of time on this, so let's go through it briefly.
To receive points that are given for completion, you need to aim for around 400. To achieve this, you should change your age.
When you start developing your character, pay attention to the frames that light up around each attribute. Red is not good, while green is good. These attributes will be useful to us later, so choose them wisely. Many of them will help in building relationships with Scandinavians.
Spouse in Crusader Kings 3
At the early stages, status is very important, so look for a spouse who is more prestigious. This will allow you to create a professional army that will be equipped with iron.
But don't get carried away until the girl grows up, as we won't see any prestige. This option doesn't suit us, so let's continue our search. Change the filter from "Fertility" to "All" and a completely different picture appears - the wife of the late Ragnar.
Thus, we immediately receive 400 prestige. In this setup, we give Aslaug another little gnome for her old age.
Compassionate players will notice that the children will be left with nothing after the marriage. That's right, old lady Aslaug will soon die, and there will be concubines for the children. The important thing is that prestige is already in our pocket.
Concubines
Our confession allows us to have no less than 3 wives, not counting the lawful one. It's up to you to decide: on the one hand, you will have a strong dynasty, and on the other hand, we will face inevitable trouble with the children.
A few options, right? But we have several ways to get around it.
If you're not married yet, choose yourself. If you're already married, take your courtier. To avoid losing everything, filter the search and choose characters with the personality trait - inheritable (always lock in your choices).
Let's move on to the methods:
- First method. It is implemented with the help of a courtier. Look for the weakest one in your retinue with a low prowess value.
Take him and marry him to, for example, Viera, who has the Amazon trait.
Then start making your courtier a knight. We recommend making him do it right away.
Now Viera is 100% ours, but don't forget to force her to convert to your courtier's faith, otherwise, she won't want to have children.
- Second method. Parallel to the above process, Karlan courted a beauty and a smart woman. Why do that? It's simple - to improve the courtiers' opinion of you. The smart and beautiful woman became our wife, which means we can make her our concubine.
There's one catch - she can appear in your court on her own. In that case, finish your courting and immediately make her your concubine.
You can never have too much free prestige
Flatter queens or duchesses and get 750 or 1500 prestige directly. In such a world, Karlan could have become a member of the Rurik dynasty. Good luck!
