How to Rob a Priest in Crusader Kings 3

1. First and foremost, pay attention to the religion.

It is best to try this method in realms with a theocratic form of government (see doctrines).

Why is this advantageous? In a theocracy, the head of the state religion owns all the temples in your territory, thus accumulating a significant amount of wealth. However, keep in mind that the priest does not always share the income with you. This is where our method comes in handy.

2. Next, we need to abduct the chosen character. This mechanic works best if you are playing through intrigues.

3. Start the "Abduction" scheme on the selected character. Usually, it is not difficult and quite fast to abduct a state priest, but there can be variations. If you're in a hurry, you can invite an accomplice for money.

To do this for free, before the abduction, do the following: search for hooks through the spymaster (click "Search for Secrets" in the council menu, then click on your court). If you do this, you will start getting characters during abductions who are willing to help without payment (instead of choosing "Bribe," select "Use Influence"). Again, they don't always agree to work for free, but this way you increase the chances of quick schemes.

4. After the abduction, click on the priest and select "Negotiate Release".

If everything aligns, you will see the option to "Expel the Priest" in your panel. That's exactly what we need. 

5. Combine "Negotiate Release for Expulsion" and see that the priest has lost all his money.

As a result, a new state priest will immediately appear behind the expelled one, whom you can easily abduct in the future. You can do this an unlimited number of times! Even if the priest escapes during the schemes, his income will continue to grow. That's why with each additional abduction attempt, you can earn twice as much money.

Thus, earning money in Crusader Kings 3 is not as difficult as it may seem.
