Useful Tips for Back 4 Blood for Beginners

Back 4 Blood is reminiscent of the popular game Left 4 Dead. A virus that turns people into bloodthirsty monsters, a team of desperate survivors, and plenty of action. However, Back 4 Blood has its own unique features. In this article, we will delve into the key gameplay moments and provide some useful tips that will come in handy during the game.

Heading Out!

Before venturing into the depths of the locations, it's important to carefully consider your equipment. One of the most crucial items is the medkit. It can be useful not only for the player themselves but also for their teammates. The status of each team member will be displayed in the bottom left corner, so it's recommended to periodically check it.

Naturally, the most important aspect of the game is the weaponry. Players can choose weapons according to their preference. However, it's worth noting that there are simply a vast number of enemies. They are fast and attack in hordes. Therefore, it's better to choose weapons with a larger magazine capacity, so you can fend off enemies for a longer time before needing to reload. Furthermore, you can upgrade your weapons later on by adding sights or other attachments. But having an ample supply of ammunition is essential!

Who Gets the Cards?

The presence of cards is a unique feature of the shooter Back 4 Blood. Each card provides a certain bonus to the player. However, it's important to pay attention because some cards also come with penalties along with the bonuses. You can identify this by looking at the bottom of the card, where a red-highlighted line will indicate the penalty. Therefore, it's necessary to determine whether you can benefit from using such a card.

Not all cards have the same value in terms of bonuses. By using different cards, players can either increase their character's stats or not notice any changes at all. It's advisable to carefully study the bonus characteristics before choosing a card. For example, a card that replaces a punch with a knife slash can be useful. As a result, zombies will be "killed" faster, more effectively, and with more excitement. Even if you run out of ammunition, you'll remain a formidable combat unit.

Each character has special abilities, and cards can be used to enhance them. To understand which card is suitable, you just need to look at the brief character description.

To learn more about the available cards in the game, players can play in single-player mode. This way, you can understand which cards hold greater value and choose them for each expedition in the future.

Harder or Easier?

In Back 4 Blood, there are three difficulty levels, and each of these levels differs significantly from the others. Take, for example, the amount of ammunition. On the easiest level, you don't need to worry much about ammo since you can find plenty of it in the locations. However, on the highest difficulty level, every bullet counts. This is just one of the differences that will drastically change the gameplay experience.

But there is one feature in the game that is important to know. The default difficulty level in the game is set to the easiest. And this applies to all game modes. So it's worth going to the settings first and selecting the difficulty level you want to play on. And one more thing. If you set the difficulty to "hard", played a bit, and then exited the game, when you enter again, you will find that the difficulty has returned to the "easy" level.

Destruction Guide

In the game world of Back 4 Blood, you will encounter many different monsters. Most of them, of course, have no intelligence but will swarm in huge numbers. In such cases, a well-chosen tactic and teamwork can easily defeat the mutants. The main thing is to have enough ammo and weapons. Even some mutants with special abilities can be successfully eliminated with coordinated fire from multiple guns.

But there are also mutants that will be much harder to deal with. Take, for example, the Ogre. It's a huge creature with incredible strength and will become a serious opponent. Engaging in direct combat is almost pointless. It's better for the squad to split up in an open space and run in different directions. The Ogre won't be able to chase everyone. And while it's distracted by one fighter, others can shower it with gunfire. The health of this behemoth can be tracked by the red bar at the top of the screen.

Remember that in a battle with an Ogre, you'll need to dodge its projectiles. And under no circumstances should you get close to it! Its "hugs" will quickly kill a hero. In enclosed spaces, you can use the size of the Ogre against it. Just choose a room it can't enter and shoot at this huge monster.

Save at All Costs?

During the course of the game, there will be situations where your teammate will need your help. Your colleague may need a health pack or a strong hand to prevent them from falling into an abyss. But don't rush headlong! The thing is, even with minimal health, a fighter can defend themselves with a pistol, and they can hang on the edge of the abyss for quite a while. However, the mutants won't wait and will attack your character as soon as you show them your back.

Remember that while providing assistance, you won't be able to shoot, and the mutants will take advantage of that. So first carefully assess the situation, eliminate enemies nearby, and only then go to help your teammate.

Stay Alert!

After a successful outing, there is only one desire: to quickly reach a safe place. There's already a shelter nearby, but suddenly a horde of zombies and mutants attacks your squad! What should you do in such a case? The answer is simple: get to the shelter as quickly as possible and rush inside. And each member of the squad must do the same. Fending off enemies outside the walls is almost futile, as there can be so many of them. If they surround you, there will be practically no chance of escaping. But it will be easier in the shelter.

There, numerical superiority will no longer matter because you can only go through the doorway one by one (or two at a time). Smart defense and continuous shooting will do their job and hold off the horde until the shelter door closes.
