The game Back 4 Blood immerses the player in a world filled with zombies and other dangerous mutants. To survive, coordinated teamwork is essential. But even with it, survival won't be easy. This article provides some useful tips that will help you succeed in this multiplayer shooter.

Best Deck Card Selection

The game features deck cards, each providing a specific bonus to the character. If you choose cards wisely, you can significantly increase your chances of winning. It's best to study these cards in single-player mode. There, you can try out different combinations and see firsthand the usefulness of each card. Once you've selected the best cards for yourself, you can confidently venture into multiplayer mode. It is recommended to pay attention not only to the cards that affect the character but also to those that are suitable for team play.

The First Card is the Most Important!

Once again, about the cards. The thing is, when you assemble a deck, the first card in it becomes the leading card. Therefore, the correct sequence of cards plays a crucial role in the gameplay. If you realize that a card is useless when you start the game, hold on until you reach the first safe spot on the way. There, you can analyze all the cards you have and swap them around.

What to Upgrade First?

In Back 4 Blood, there is a substantial arsenal of weapons, ranging from compact submachine guns to heavy weaponry. Many gamers are used to the idea that upgrading weapon characteristics is the first priority. However, the situation is slightly different in Back 4 Blood. It's better to focus on upgrading items that will be needed for cooperative gameplay. Take, for example, medkits. If you upgrade them to a sufficiently high level, you can not only revive a fallen teammate but also provide them with a full health supply. Another example is Molotov cocktails. These "cocktails" can be extremely useful in later stages of the game. They cover a large area and burn enemies. The more upgraded they are, the deadlier they become.

Don't Forget Your Tools, Fighter!

As a gamer, you can prepare for battle by bringing weapons and other items that can be useful during gameplay. One of the important items to have in your inventory is tools. Although Carly has tools in her inventory, it's better to have them as backups. They are very useful. Need to open doors? No problem! And that's just the most basic function of tools. By exploring locations, you can find special chests where tools will come in handy! And these chests can contain valuable items, from ammunition to weapons.

One for All, and All for One!

During the game, it's best for team members to stick together, just like the Musketeers in the movies. Try not to scatter in different directions but move as a compact group. This way, you can cover each other and fend off hordes of zombies with concentrated fire. In addition to zombies, the Hawker is also dangerous, waiting for the moment to ambush a lone player and attack at the most unexpected moment.

High and Mighty

In battle, it's important to use any advantage of the surrounding environment to gain the upper hand against enemies. Dominating a high position is an excellent example of such an approach. It provides players with a wide view of the area, making it easier to shoot enemies. So, as soon as you enter the game, immediately establish the highest points in the location and set up firing positions there once the zombie hordes come into view.

The Importance of Markers

One way to improve teamwork is through the marker system. For example, if you spot a dangerous boss approaching your squad's position, you can mark it with a special marker to quickly alert your teammates of the approaching threat. In Back 4 Blood, the marker appears as a red skull and is easily visible to all players. Markers are especially useful when dealing with the Hawker. By warning other players in time, you can avoid many problems. So, don't underestimate the power of markers.

Carry and Survive

During gameplay, you will encounter missions where you need to carry certain items. These missions can be quite challenging as you are unable to shoot attacking enemies while carrying the items. So, how can you survive without becoming easy prey for zombies? The answer is to shove them away! If you're playing with a keyboard, press "V," or if you're using a gamepad, use the right stick. By using these controls, your character will no longer be an appetizing target for zombies.

Avoiding Traps

In the game, you will encounter various traps that can cause significant trouble if triggered. Here are some of these traps and methods to deal with them.

Flocks of Birds: These seemingly harmless creatures act as an alarm for zombies when they take flight. Prevent this by throwing Molotov cocktails or grenades at them when you see a flock on the ground. Remember to eliminate all the birds; otherwise, trouble will still ensue.

Security Doors: These doors are identifiable by a special mark on them. The danger lies in the alarm that goes off as soon as a character tries to pass through. Here's how to overcome this trap: behind the doors, there will be zombies. Shoot them to lure them towards the doors. The secret is that the alarm will deactivate when a zombie touches the doors.

Automatic Alarm: Dealing with this trap is challenging because you cannot neutralize it. The only way to overcome this trap is to bypass it in such a way that it doesn't trigger under any circumstances.

Screamer: This is a zombie scout. If any of the heroes enter its line of sight, it will instantly raise the alarm and summon its "colleagues." The Screamer can be identified by the lights on its head. If you spot it, aim for its head to neutralize this troublesome mutant.

Save, Save, Save!

If you decide to play the game on the "Veteran" difficulty or even harder, saving up resources is crucial. Always have a reserve of money with you. Why? Because at higher difficulty levels, even medkits will cost you 400 coins. On lower difficulty levels, they are free. Use the purchased medkits during gameplay and try to restore your health using special stations.
