How to Unlock or Hack a Door

In the game, there are two types of doors – secured and locked. The former can only be opened with a terminal on the spacecraft. For locked doors, you can use a key or a lockpick – a consumable item that can be found during location exploration.

The key can be used once, after which it disappears from the inventory. To search for keys, use a flashlight – items are often found in dark corners that are easy to overlook.

To use the key, take it in your hand, approach the locked door, and apply the item on the Left Mouse Button (LMB). If you find a key in a location where there are no locked doors, it doesn't mean you missed something. Save the key for the next doors or sell it for 3 credits. It will come in handy in the future in any case.

If you haven't found a key, you can use a lockpick. This small device, shaped like a spider, can be purchased at the terminal for 20 credits. Order the item, wait for delivery, and pick it up. Approach the door and activate the lockpick on the LMB. The "spider" will take time to hack the door – 30 seconds. This can be inconvenient, for example, if you're fleeing from monsters. A key opens doors instantly – that's its significant advantage.

The lockpick can be used an unlimited number of times – the item does not get consumed after the first use.

How to Close a Door via Terminal

If one of the players is on board the spacecraft, they can control secured doors and lock them to hide a team member from the monster. To do this:

1. Approach the terminal and select "View Monitor";
2. All doors and the player's location will be displayed on the map;
3. Enter the command "switch" and the player's name who is near the secured door;
4. A combination will appear on the screen – a letter and a number that need to be entered into the terminal (e.g., F2, Z3, A6). After that, the door will be unlocked, and players will be able to enter.

As soon as players are in the room, close the door again as quickly as possible. To do this, re-enter the command in the form of the letter and number combination. The closed door will be highlighted on the map in red.

Behind closed doors are valuable resources that players can loot and transport to the spaceport.
