Opening the Subterranean Domain

Your first encounter with the boss will happen within the "History of the Ancient Chapter 2" story quest. During the quest, you won't have any trouble defeating the boss as you'll be accompanied by the great Zhongli and an unknown power.

Defeating Azhdaha: How to Beat the Boss

Once you defeat the boss in the quest with your companions, it will become a weekly boss, and you'll be able to test your strength by facing it alone. If you don't have access to Zhongli and Ganyu, the battle against Azhdaha will be quite challenging as he possesses a large arsenal of physical and elemental attacks.

When your enemy's HP reaches 75% or 50%, it will enter a specific mode, and its attacks will change depending on the element it uses:

1. Hydro - bubbles will fly around the arena, and naturally, you need to dodge them.

2. Electro - a large number of lines and lightning will appear across the entire arena.

When hit by such an attack, a character receives a mark and accompanying damage. If you're tackling this battle alone, all characters will be marked, but in co-op mode, only one character will be marked. Before entering the cave itself, the current element Azhdaha wields will be shown.

Azhdaha can also attack physically. Here are some of his attacks:

1. Pounce - the monster jumps and deals a significant amount of damage upon landing.

2. Kick - a rift is formed where the kick lands.

3. Charged Attack - Azhdaha accelerates and attacks you from above.

4. Ground Slam - the boss strikes the ground three times, dealing AoE damage.

5. Tail Swing - the hero can receive damage from a tail swing.

6. Stalagmites - the monster throws stalagmites that explode after a few seconds.

7. Meteor Shower - targets or circles will appear in the arena, and meteors will soon fall into them.

As part of the "Weekly Boss Victory" project, you can obtain 5-star artifacts Gladiator's Finale and Wanderer's Troupe, and sometimes, weapon prototypes of the Northlander category.
