Outriders: How to Defeat the Chrystaloid Boss

In this dynamic game filled with dangers, there is nothing more exciting than facing a terrifying and powerful boss. In this guide, we will discuss how to defeat the Chrysaloid boss in Outriders and survive the encounter.

The Chrysaloid appears as a massive animated rock formation. It will take more than a dozen magazines to take it down, but the rewards are worth it. Be extremely vigilant and careful, especially if you are playing at World Tier 5 - a few hits and your character is dead.

Victory over the Chrysaloid Boss

You can defeat the monster by going through two phases.

Phase 1

Once you find yourself in the clearing, look for a giant boulder. The boss will only be visible through a fissure. It is in this configuration that you will have to fight the Chrysaloid until it reaches 50% of its health.

The boss will attack you with its hand (easy to dodge), throw rocks much larger than the hero (the landing spots will be marked in red), and attempt to incinerate you with fiery breath.

With some agility, you will easily dodge the boss's attacks, but it will take a long time to defeat it since it's not an easy task to penetrate its defenses. To deal maximum damage, attack it directly in the face.

You don't need to save your supplies; there are plenty of them. Focus on the boss's attacks.

Phase 2

The main difference from the previous phase is that the boss now has new abilities. The Chrysaloid can send flies towards you, which are capable of killing your character. Additionally, the boss will throw many more rocks, and due to the terrain, you won't be able to dodge many of them. Note that there is now only one ammo chest available.

The boss's attacks are quite predictable, but don't lose your vigilance as they deal a significant amount of damage. Pay attention to avoid getting hit by the flies as they inflict even more damage.

We recommend using long-range weapons to avoid risking your life unnecessarily. Keep in mind that the closer you are to the enemy, the more challenging the fight becomes.
