Forest Keeper (Forest Keeper) – one of the hostile and extremely aggressive mobs you can encounter while traversing and exploring the world of Lethal Company. You might accidentally come across it in open areas while wandering through the forest.

To increase survival chances, you must know how to defeat the Forest Keeper and avoid a confrontation with it.

Why the Forest Keeper is Dangerous

The Forest Keeper is a massive roaming creature, most easily identified by its loud footsteps echoing in the surroundings. Once you hear this sound, it's better to turn around immediately and take another path. It's especially not recommended to encounter the Forest Keeper at night – the chances of survival will be extremely low.

Despite the lack of intellect and its outward bulkiness, the Forest Keeper has incredible vision and easily detects Operatives from a considerable distance. It can spot you before you spot it – and that's the biggest danger.

The Forest Keeper doesn't always act alone. It can be accompanied by other hostile and dangerous mobs, most commonly Eyeless Dogs.

How to Defeat the Forest Keeper

You cannot kill the Forest Keeper. None of the weapons available in the game work against it. The only option is temporary stunning.

 How to avoid a direct confrontation with the Forest Keeper and manage to escape:

• Use a laser pointer to distract the enemy. However, if the monster gets too close, it won't react to the pointer and will head straight for the player;
• Apply a grenade or a shocker. This will temporarily slow down the enemy and provide time to escape;
• Do not use melee weapons! It is entirely useless against the Forest Keeper and exposes you to additional risk if you get too close;
• Despite its large size, the Forest Keeper navigates space well, moves quickly, and can traverse unstable structures, such as bridges;
• In extreme cases, if escaping the monster is already impossible, ask the coordinator to use the teleporter. It's better to lose inventory than incur a Corporation penalty for death;
• Try to avoid exploring open areas and forests in bad weather, especially fog. Detecting the Forest Keeper in advance and subsequently escaping will be significantly more challenging;
• If the spacecraft is nearby, hide on board. The Forest Keeper cannot catch you on the ship. Just in case, don't stand close to the doors – a bug might trigger, causing the Forest Keeper to catch you through textures;
• Try hiding at elevated locations or in trees. This might work and leave you unnoticed despite the Forest Keeper's height.

Perhaps, over time, Lethal Company will introduce new weapon options and ways to kill monsters. But for now, you can only escape from the Forest Keeper, not defeat it.
