Lethal Company: the essence of the game, available platforms, mods

10 jan 2024 at 13:04

Lethal Company – a gaming novelty of the past year, 2023, that has gained popularity among players and fans of the survival horror genre. It is, at first glance, a simple but captivating game that you can try in cooperative mode with friends. In terms of principle and gameplay, it resembles the previously released Phasmophobia and partly Dead by Daylight.

In this guide, you will learn what Lethal Company is, whether it's worth downloading, on which platforms the game is available, and whether you can install mods for it.

Lethal Company Gameplay

The gameplay of Lethal Company is simple and straightforward. A team of players lands on the spaceship of the Corporation and lands on one of the moons. The main task is to explore the planet, gather resources, especially scrap metal, and then sell it for the needs of the company to meet the quota. Failure to meet the quota results in penalty sanctions, up to being expelled from the ship and subsequent death.

During the search, players use special equipment, encounter local fauna—friendly or aggressive creatures. The former behave neutrally and do not react to players, while the latter attempt to attack and kill. To fight monsters, players can use special equipment: a shovel, a stun gun, a shotgun, and other weapons. Players must survive at any cost, as death also incurs penalties.

All game and gameplay features are built around this goal. Explore moons, investigate locations, read the bestiary to know how to deal with specific creatures, and help comrades to stay alive.

Communicate with comrades via the radio, warning of potential danger. Distribute roles among team members to play more effectively. For example, one Employee can stay on the spaceship to coordinate the team and help with opening doors, disarming traps, and eliminating monsters. Open new, more challenging planets to get valuable rewards and quickly meet the quota. But be careful: the monsters on them are much more dangerous and powerful.

You can play in single-player mode, but it is not as interesting as with friends.
