Horizon Zero Dawn by Guerrilla Games was a critically acclaimed original title for PlayStation 4, and the subsequent game Horizon Forbidden West promises to deliver a unique gaming experience and show entirely new locations.

The action takes place on the edge of the Forbidden West, where the main heroine will try to stop a mysterious plague. The Sony PlayStation Studios team announced the continuation in June 2020, but when PlayStation owners will actually see the release of the long-awaited sequel?

Horizon Forbidden West Release Date: Fresh Information

Guerrilla Games demonstrated some gameplay frames in May 2021, but even after 14 minutes of footage showing combat systems and improved graphics of the title, there was no final release date at the end of this presentation.

Speaking to Game Informer, the game director said:

“Development is in full swing, however we want to be fully sure that we will meet the promised release date. So we just need a little more time and then we will come back with the final release date.” 

De Jonge added:

 “We are now living in not the most reliable times, which can somehow affect our work."
