How to Transfer Progress from Hitman 1,2 to Hitman 3: Detailed Instructions

20 jan 2021 at 22:05

In this guide, we will provide detailed information on how to transfer your game progress from the previous installments (Hitman 1 and 2) to Hitman 3.

You will also learn about the process of exporting/importing data and what exactly can be transferred to the new part, Hitman 3. Let's get started!

How to transfer old progress to Hitman 3

  1. To transfer your achievements from Hitman 1, you must first transfer the same data to the second part of the game (and replay them). After completing these steps, you can import the achievement data from Hitman 1 to the third part of the game.
  2. You can only perform the progress transfer once.
  3. There is a website that will assist you in transferring all your Hitman 3 progress data. Create an account on IOI and log in.
  4. If you transfer data from Hitman 2, you will lose your saves on Hitman 3. It is recommended to transfer the old data before starting a new game.
  5. You can only transfer progress from one platform to the same platform. For example, from Steam to the Epic Games Store, or from PS4 to PS5, but not from console to Steam, etc.
  6. When transferring information to Hitman 3, the data in Hitman 2 will not be deleted. As mentioned earlier, only the new version of the game will be updated.
By the way, Google Stadia is not included in the PC platform category.

What can be transferred from Hitman 2 to Hitman 3?

Here is a list of what you can transfer:

- Your personal profile
- Units/Experience level, ranks
- Skill levels in Hitman 2 and 1 locations
- Mastery level-bound rewards
- Completed challenges and rewards
- Completed elusive targets and rewards

However, please note that:

  • You are unable to choose what specifically to transfer. Everything described above will be automatically imported.
  • You cannot import information to Nintendo Switch.
  • You cannot transfer save files from Hitman 2 to Hitman 3. For example, if you have a saved mission in the second part, you will still have to replay it in the new part.
