Lynette - a new character introduced in version 4.0, distributed for free to all players with Adventure Rank 25+. In this guide, we will discuss the best weapons, artifacts, stats, and team composition for Lynette.

Please note that this guide is a pre-release version and may be updated in the future as more testing is conducted.

Description of Lynette's Abilities

Lynette appears to be both a sub DPS character heavily reliant on critical damage at C0 (or Elemental Mastery and Elemental Burst damage at higher constellations) and a full-fledged damage dealer, especially with her C6 constellation. She is particularly useful on release as a user of Anemo, which is notable for tackling the new Abyss and Fountain puzzle challenges. Here are some key aspects of her skill set:

Elemental Skill (E)

A single-target strike. There's a possibility to miss the target while teleporting (although this is quite rare). This ability is quite useful for exploring the world.

Elemental Burst (Q)

Eleven Anemo damage strikes and five absorbed element strikes in a 1-to-1 pattern (if you apply the absorbed element at the start of the ability). The ability locks in character stats at activation (snapshot). The priority of absorbed elements follows a unique pattern: Cryo > Pyro > Hydro > Electro. The "hat" does not read enemy status on its own, so you need to hit the Q itself with the required damage type. It distracts enemies in an 8-meter radius.

Q and A, or Answers to Unasked Questions

The first passive talent will never replace more valuable bonuses like those from Kazuha or Sucrose. There are no specific rotation requirements; your typical sequence will involve pressing E before Q to ensure even energy distribution in the party. Level 90 is only important for maximizing Elemental Mastery.

Do you need Lynette? Definitely at the start of the 4.x phase. Later on, it becomes an individual choice. However, for most players, there might not be anything drastically new, especially considering that more characters with Anemo will appear in the future, diminishing her unique role.

Talent Priority for Lynette

In the Snapshooter build, talent levels don't matter. 

Best Weapons for Lynette

The list of weapons and artifacts is not exhaustive, and specific examples are provided.

• Light of Foliar Incision, Mistsplitter Reforged, Primordial Jade Cutter, Summit Shaper, Haran geppaku futsu 

As usual, the top of the list features stat-focused swords. "Summit Shaper" might not be optimal if using Bennett due to an excess of attack, while "Haran" requires Lynette's C6 constellation to be more effective.

• Freedom-Sworn, Xiphos' Moonlight

Support-oriented swords. "Xiphos' Moonlight" requires a partial Elemental Mastery build, while "Freedom-Sworn" is more versatile and doesn't necessitate maxing a specific stat.

• Skyward Blade, Amenoma Kageuchi 

A blend of energy recharge and attack. Given Lynette's high Elemental Burst cost and the likelihood of her being the only Anemo character in the party, these options are quite decent. Although the R5 "Mistsplitter's Reforged" is better in any case.

• Wolf-Fang

This weapon's damage can rival some 5-star swords. The only downside is that it comes from the Battle Pass and requires purchase.

• Finale of the Deep

Using this sword, the character often wants to remain off the field as much as possible (it's better to select a different character as the main DPS). This weapon shines in the second rotation.

• Fleuve Cendre Ferryman

A probable choice for F2P players. Admittedly, the stat pool isn't as impressive compared to the above options, but it's still a decent choice.

• Blackcliff Longsword

With specific investments, Lynette is capable of annihilating everything in her field of vision. But in our mortal reality, she's more harmless; you can't rely on all the stacks. 

• Festering Desire

It's only bad that it doesn't buff the ultimate ability.

• Lion's Roar

Since Lynette is an Anemo character, there are no obstacles for her in interacting with different elements, including Pyro and Electro.

• Black Sword

For use with C6.

• Favonius Sword, Sacrificial Sword

Facilitate energy circulation in the team. About equally beneficial. Pay attention to Sacrificial Sword: the Elemental Skill isn't used twice, as it has a fixed internal cooldown of 10 seconds.

• Toukabou Shigure, Iron Sting

For an Elemental Mastery build, mostly based on the latter.

Best Artifacts for Lynette

• Gilded Dreams

An Elemental Mastery build.

• In descending order: Marechaussee Hunter, Desert Pavilion Chronicle, Echoes of an Offering, Shimenawa's Reminiscence, Gladiator's Finale, Summer Night's Bloom, Heart of Depth

For use with C6. "Marechaussee Hunter" can be used even without the mentioned "star" (or due to the absence of the corresponding infusion build), but only with four pieces. "Shimenawa's Reminiscence" requires a character battery, or skillful energy management.

• Vermillion Hereafter
• Emblem of Severed Fate

Valued due to the significant contribution of the ultimate ability to Lynette's DPS.

• Noblesse Oblige

If not taken by anyone else in the team, bonuses won't stack.

• Viridescent Venerer

A time-tested versatile option. Suitable for most teams except Mono-Anemo setups.

• Lavawalker, Thundering Fury, Blizzard Strayer

If you are aiming for a specific team with a consistent status on the enemy (Pyro, Superconduct/Overloaded, Freeze). Also you can mix 2+2 combinations from the above sets.

Lynette's Stats 

For DPS Build: 

• Circlet - Crit Rate/Crit Damage
• Goblet - Anemo DMG Bonus/Attack
• Hourglass - Attack/Elemental Mastery

Stat Priority: Energy Recharge ->  Crits under the ½ ratio (50% chance for 100% damage; this rule can be broken if you know what you're doing) -> % Attack -> Flat Attack

Standard: 70/140 crit rate, 210+% Anemo bonus damage (if she's the only Anemo character in the team), 1800+ attack.

For Targeted Elemental Mastery Build:

• Circlet - Elemental Mastery
• Goblet - Elemental Mastery
• Hourglass - Elemental Mastery/Energy Recharge

Stat Priority: Energy Recharge -> Elemental Mastery 

Standard: 800+ Elemental Mastery, 210+% Anemo Damage Bonus. 

Best Constellations for Lynette

C1 - a 6-meter swirt (similar to Sucrose's Elemental Skill). It's as powerful as held Kazuha's Elemental Skill (attracts enemies).

C2 - the elemental status of the ultimate ability is applied every two attacks (before C2, it's every three). This means that the impact of reactions on the game increases, and there are more of them.

C3 - an addition to the main source of damage. 

C4 - more energy and possible support for charging the ultimates of other team members - Anemo DPS characters like Xiao or Scaramouche can benefit from them. 

C5 - particularly good in combination with C4. 

C6 - a constellation for a permanent damage dealer. Cannot be overridden by any external infusion, not even the well-known C6 Bennett.

Here, Lynette is always built for Elemental Mastery.

Almost anything with almost anyone can fit well with Lynette as the driver in many pre-made team compositions, especially those including Kazuha.
