In the game Genshin Impact, you can find special items - Drained Conch Cups, scattered around Fontaine. Searching for these shells is a quite challenging task, and finding a practical application for them is even more difficult. In this guide, we will tell you exactly where to find these shells and how to use them.

Where to Find Drained Conch Cups in Genshin Impact

There are a total of 4 of these items scattered around the world. Finding them is usually associated with accompanying quest locations, so we recommend starting with the "Aqueous Tidemarks" and "Ann of the Narzissenkreuz" quest chains, collecting items in parallel. Below, we have highlighted the location of each one.

First Drained Conch Cup

Located in one of the rooms of the Institute of Natural Philosophy, in a Precious chest next to a Hydroculus.

Second Drained Conch Cup

Still in the same place, but now in a secret, untouched time hall of the Institute (where you will go with the "Ann of the Narzissenkreuz" quest). You will get a weapon awakening material from the adjacent dark chest, from where you took the key.

Third Drained Conch Cup

The third one can be found in a Precious chest in the cave near the mermaid at the end of "The Wild Fairy of Erinnyes" quest.

Fourth Drained Conch Cup

The last one is in the stash of Bravais' Hidden Study. To open it, you need to fulfill a series of conditions, which we have detailed in these articles (link).

What Are Drained Conch Cups Used For

Drained Conch Cups are used to create a material needed to obtain Surging Sacred Chalices - a weapon awakening material for the Sword of Narzissenkreuz. This special sword can be obtained as a reward for completing the final quest series called "In The Wake of Narcissus."
You can exchange the conch cups at the fountain underwater in Annapausis. There, you can also change the weapon's sub-stat – choose Usia or Pneuma.
