A lot can be learned about Alisa's life from the in-game books in Genshin Impact, where she has been mentioned many times. Alisa, skilled in alchemy, is also an elder in the witch organization.

Mentions of Alisa in the Game

The very first mention of Alisa in Genshin Impact can be found in Klee's character story 5. According to Klee's dialogue, Alisa is her mother and a passionate adventurer. Alisa is also the author of the famous guidebook "Teivat".

Players also learn about Alisa during Mona's story quest "Astrolab Chapter." In the quest, Mona mentions Alisa as an exceptional sorceress and a rival to her master. In Klee's quest, it is mentioned how Alisa taught her to make some explosives.

Albedo also mentions Alisa in one of his stories about the character. At some point, Alisa taught Albedo alchemy. She was the one who appointed Albedo as an alchemist in the Knights of Favonius. After some time, Alisa and her partner decide to embark on a distant adventure, leaving Klee under Albedo and the Knights' jurisdiction.

The next time we hear about Alisa is in the new 1.6 event on the Archipelago, where she takes on the role of the mysterious Dodoko King, who compels various characters from Mondstadt to embark on the Golden Apple quest. There, she becomes acquainted with one of her inventions, "Alisa's Phonograph," and reveals the secret behind Dodoking.

In Albedo's quest, he refers to Alisa as his aunt, although they are not related by blood.

Alisa's Backstory

In the fourth act of the 1.6 summer event, she mentions belonging to a long-lived species. So she had enough time to master many abilities.

According to Mona's story quest, 50 years ago, Alisa made a pact with Mona's master, resulting in Alisa obtaining her diary. In this quest, Mona's master sends Alisa to retrieve the diary from Alisa's successor, Klee.

Alisa began writing a guidebook about Teyvat, traveling and exploring the land's vastness. In line with Xinyue's story quest, the publication of Liyue's guidebook was discontinued due to its unpopularity.

In Liyue's edition of the Teyvat guidebook, Alisa mentions Zhongli as a very serious character. She once gave Barbara an "Idol Magazine," which inspired her to become an idol herself. 

In the Gliding Handbook (rewarded for the "Outrider Style" quest), Alisa was punished for breaking gliding rules and was detained for 10 days by Jean.

Kikuko Inoue - Japanese Voice Actress for "Alisa in Genshin"

Until now, only the Japanese voice actress for Alisa has been officially released. The English and Korean voice actors are still unknown. She also voiced Lady Dimitrescu in the Japanese localization.

Will Alisa Become a Playable Character in Genshin Impact?

It has not been officially confirmed whether Alisa will become a playable character or even appear in Genshin Impact. So far, all that players can know about her is from the mentions of other characters and the books she has written. However, considering her significant involvement in the lore, she could easily make her way into the game.
