MiHoYo announced that Genshin Impact will be available on the Epic Games Store on June 9th, but will the game support cross-platform play? Can you play Genshin Impact with PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile players, and will there be an option to transfer your accounts?

We'll try to answer all these questions in this article. As a reminder, the developers recently announced the game's release on the Epic Games Store, for which players will receive an additional code for Primogems.

Is there cross-play in Genshin Impact on Epic Games Store?

Yes, with this platform Genshin Impact supports an online co-op mode, in which you can explore the open world or defeat bosses with your friends. 

In their press release, the developers confirmed that Genshin Impact players on Epic Games will be able to use the online co-op mode with all the others: PS4, PS5, mobile and PC users.

Can you transfer Genshin Impact progress to Epic Games Store?

In addition, the Epic Games Store version of the game supports cross-save: players who have already explored Teyvat on their mobile phone or through the MiHoYo launcher can connect to the same account via the Epic Games Store. 

And vice versa, you can start playing Genshin Impact on EGS and then continue using the same account but on a different device.

Which platforms do not support Genshin Impact cross-saves?

At the moment, the only version of Genshin Impact that does not support cross-save is the PS4 and PS5 version. If you launch a Genshin Impact account using your PSN account, your save will be stuck on PS4 and PS5. 

Nevertheless, you can still play with your friends in online mode.
