Top 5 imbalanced guns in Fallout 4

11 may 2024 at 15:37

Earlier, we already made several selections of the strongest guns in Fallout 4 within their categories: automaticpistols, melee, and fist. Now it's time to highlight the top 5 best weapons among them, which will help you in battle even against the most powerful enemies.

In this top, we will rely not only on combat power, but also on how quickly you can find the gun in the game. As a rule, this factor becomes the most important. What's the point of looking for powerful weapons closer to the end of the game when you've completed the main content and clearly found the main rifle that has become familiar?

The exact characteristics of some guns are covered in more detailed guides. Go check them out.

Atom's Judgement

Atom's Judgement - a super sledge from the Far Harbor expansion, which you can obtain after completing the "Heretic" quest from Grand Zealot Richter (Brian Richter).

The main feature of the weapon is mixed damage: physical + radiation. By the way, radiation damage is one of the rarest in Fallout 4. There aren't many weapons with it.

The legendary property of the sledgehammer: +100 radiation damage. The problem will only arise with creatures that have high radiation resistance. But this doesn't mean that the hammer will be completely ineffective - the damage will still remain, and it's not small. Other enemies vulnerable to radiation damage will die faster.

Among the drawbacks are the lack of range and still limited damage compared to pistols and rifles. Approaching enemies up close to strike can be dangerous and prone to one-shots.

Lorenzo's Artifact Gun

Lorenzo's Artifact Gun - the most powerful pistol in Fallout 4, which topped our previous list. The pistol combines 3 different types of damage: physical + explosive damage + radiation. The weapon is fast-firing, deals area damage, and when hitting, stuns or knocks back enemies at a distance.

There are downsides too. Firstly, gamma rounds are more expensive than regular ones. Secondly, obtaining the pistol itself will be difficult. To get it as a reward, you need to complete the lengthy "The Secret of Cabot House" quest and in the end, side with Jack Cabot. The chain of missions is long, so you'll have to spend some time.

The Problem Solver and Splattercannon

The Problem Solver and Splattercannon - essentially the same rifle with identical legendary property. It increases the damage dealt with each new hit on the target. This ability pairs especially well with the rate of fire of rifles, allowing the character to take down any nearby approaching enemies.

In the guide on #h2" target="_blank">the best rifles in Fallout 4, more details were given on how to obtain both guns. Spoiler: getting them isn't that difficult, and it's better to do it as early as possible.

Kiloton Radium Rifle and Spray n' Pray

Kiloton Radium Rifle also deals mixed damage: physical + explosive damage + radiation. You get explosive damage from explosive bullets, which deal area damage. This rifle can only be obtained with the Far Harbor expansion during the "Visions in the Fog" quest. Completing it will be significantly easier with power armor because you'll have to venture into a highly irradiated area.

After the quest, the Kiloton Radium Rifle will be sold by the trader Kane.

Spray n' Pray - the exact counterpart of the rifle, as in the case of Splattercannon and The Problem Solver. It can be purchased from the trader Cricket in the Commonwealth.

Overseer's Guardian

Overseer's Guardian - a rifle with a legendary two-shot property. However, accuracy decreases when firing the second shot, but not critically. You can buy the weapon in Vault 81 from the trader Alexis

The only significant drawback of the rifle is strong recoil, but it's easy to get used to.

Choose any gun from the list - you won't go wrong. They are all worth attention and will be excellent companions in battle.
