Top most difficult locations in Fallout 4

Want to test your skills in Fallout 4 and break a sweat while clearing out a location? In case you decide to challenge yourself, we've compiled the top 7 most difficult and dangerous places in Fallout 4 that will require you to use all your learned skills and abilities to the maximum. For greater effect, choose the "Survival" difficulty level - and then emotions are guaranteed. But not necessarily positive ones.

Safari

Safari is one of the locations from the Nuka-World expansion, which you can visit during the "The Grand Tour" quest. Spoiler: Nuka-World has many difficult locations where even the most primitive mobs, like crickets, can kill the player if they lack skill.

One of the nastiest and most annoying enemies in Safari is the Gatorclaw. This crocodile-like creature can only be encountered in this location and nowhere else.

In terms of strength, they are slightly more powerful than Deathclaws. But the catch is different. While Deathclaws usually appear alone, Gatorclaws can attack the player in small groups, making it difficult to fend them off. In Safari, they literally roam in packs and can ambush you at every corner.

On the plus side, you can count on additional assistance from Cito. He's a surviving savage you'll encounter in the park. He'll help you in battles and deal extra damage, protecting the player.

Glowing Sea

Glowing Sea is a huge location encompassing several key areas. But there's no point in singling them out - dangerous enemies are scattered all over the sea, no matter where you go.

Essentially, it's a massive area irradiated by radiation. You'll immediately encounter some of the toughest monsters in the game - Deathclaws and Radscorpions. And you'll encounter them very often.

Also, keep in mind that you'll constantly receive damage from the high level of radiation. Radioactive storms in the Glowing Sea never stop. Make sure to bring RadAway and Rad-X with you.

The Gauntlet

The Gauntlet begins immediately after you arrive by train from the transit center to Nuka-World. You'll enter a truly deadly maze where every trap could be your last: mines, gas rooms, snares, pits, etc. And there's no turning back, meaning the passage is practically mandatory. That's where the main difficulty lies.

Not only is the location teeming with traps and minor enemies like ants, but at the end, you'll face a final battle with boss Colter.

He's an incredibly tough opponent in power armor. Stock up on stimpaks for consistent healing and armor to ease the passage.

World of Refreshment

World of Refreshment is another location from Nuka-World.

The enemy that will challenge you here is the Nukalurk. They are so dangerous that they surpass Deathclaws in terms of HP and damage. They even deserve a separate place on the list of Fallout 4's strongest enemies. You'll only encounter them in the World of Refreshment.

But that's not all. As part of the "The Grand Tour" quest, you'll fight the Nukalurk Queen, who is protected by several Nukalurks. So, you'll have plenty to do.

Good weapons for fighting Nukalurks include Splattercannon and The Problem Solver, thanks to their legendary properties: the longer you shoot at an enemy, the more damage each subsequent shot deals. This will be especially relevant against the slow-moving Nukalurks, who need time to get closer to the character. We've already mentioned them in the best rifles in Fallout 4 guide. We've also explained how to get them.

Kiddie Kingdom

Kiddie Kingdom is a location from Nuka-World that you should avoid without power armor.

The reason: constantly increasing levels of radiation. Radiation is scattered all over this location, so there's no hiding from it. The area also has many traps set by Oswald Oppenheimer, whom you'll meet more closely during the A Magical Kingdom quest.

But you won't have trouble with enemies here - they're not particularly strong. Except for Oswald himself, whom you'll have to fight.

Galaxy Zone

Galaxy Zone is a large space-themed amusement park, another of the largest locations in Nuka-World as a whole.

The main enemies here are various types of robots and laser turrets. The latter are the most dangerous because they hit hard and deal a lot of damage. A couple of seconds under their fire can cost you all your HP. Not even power armor will save you, so it's better to avoid them by any means possible.

The Mechanist's Lair

The Mechanist's Lair on the Survival difficulty level is a real hell even for pro-players. Firstly, it's very long, and you'll spend a lot of time passing through it. Secondly, if you're playing on Survival, you need to periodically rest on beds. There are critically few beds in the Lair - literally in a couple of places throughout the huge location. And even reaching these places will be difficult.

The main enemies here are robots. At the end, you'll also have to fight Mechanist bots, which shoot lasers. If you accidentally get hit by their barrage, you can die in seconds. One of its scariest representatives is the Turret-bot. Essentially, it's the same turret that, among other things, can walk around and attack you directly.

If you manage to pass each of these locations, especially on Survival difficulty, and fully clear The Mechanist's Lair, you can rightfully consider yourself a Fallout 4 ace. Be assured that you won't encounter anything more challenging in the game.
