Shadow of the Erdtree is the new expansion for the action/RPG Elden Ring, whose official trailer was released on February 21, 2024. The action of the expansion and the main game unfolds in the same storyline. 

The DLC will continue the ideas of George R. R. Martin, the creator of "Game of Thrones," who co-authored the script for the original game. However, Martin did not participate in the development of the expansion - his old works and ideas will be implemented. 

What to Expect in Shadow of the Erdtree?

The expansion is truly long-awaited. Players will be able to confront a dozen new bosses and immerse themselves in the world of Land of Shadows, where the events of the DLC unfold. Additionally, new equipment, weapon categories, and dungeons will be available. The expansion will be released on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and Windows PC.

Release Date of Shadow of the Erdtree

The official release date is set for June 21, 2024, which is just around the corner. Developers have stated that this is the first and final expansion for Elden Ring - there are no plans for further work on the project. Pre-orders are already available on Steam.
