Hotfix 1.12 in Cyberpunk 2077: System Mod Security Restored
Fix 1.12 returned security to the project, now you don't need to worry about the safety of your personal data!
Use the content as much as you need, your data will be 100% protected and saved.
Cyberpunk 2077 is now fully secure
Cyberpunk was released "raw" to put it mildly and the developers rushed to save the situation with various mods. This led to vulnerability of the game from the inside due to the fact that the tools used to create modifications were published before it was actually planned.
If you plan to use @CyberpunkGame mods/custom saves on PC, use caution. We've been made aware of a vulnerability in external DLL files the game uses which can be used to execute code on PCs. Issue will be fixed ASAP. For now, please refrain from using files from unknown sources.

Gamers quickly realized that if the game itself is vulnerable through mods - then their computer is also in the crosshairs. Consoles were no exception and the entire Cyberpunk 2077 project became vulnerable.
The development team did not make us wait long and immediately released a patch that eliminates this bug in the game. You can be calm - the sequel is fully secure, download modifications and enjoy the gameplay.
This hotfix became the most important in 2021, because Cyberpunk without mods looks very mediocre. The developers need to give due credit for their responsiveness.
Nothing else was added to this patch, but the main thing is that the confidentiality of data is restored. Good luck!
Hotfix 1.11 for Cyberpunk 2077 is now available on PC, consoles, and Stadia.
