Spy in the jungle in Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty: who to give the biomonitor to
Spy in the Jungle - a side quest and assignments from Mr. Hands. To access this task, you must complete the plot quest "The Damned".
Spy in the Jungle: Walkthrough
The assignment will appear in the task list when V is in the territory of the coastal slums. Hands will contact the protagonist by phone and state the goal: to find the missing agent Mark Bana.
Head to the "Paradise" hotel
Enter the building and go up to room 203 - you will recognize it by its distinctive sign. The room is on the 3rd floor.
Inside the room, you will be met by agents of the Brazilian intelligence service who are looking for Mark Bana - Ana and Steven. They will update you on the progress and inform you of V's task. The agents will warn that the protagonist will face tough opponents - the "Scavengers" gang and their leader, Boris Ribakov.
Before leaving, scan the information about the missing agent. The last location from which Mark's biomonitor signal came will be displayed on the map - Organitopia.
Head to Organitopia
The location is not far from the hotel - follow the marker. Go to the elevator, go up to the 3rd floor, and fend off the group of enemies that will be waiting for you at the top.
Reaching the closed door, turn left and crawl through the broken window. Interact with the panel and connect to the system. At this moment, Mark will communicate, being glad that someone has come to his aid. The man will need help - he is wounded, and he's surrounded by the Scavengers gang.
Confront Boris Ribakov
Follow the marker to the room where the wounded Mark is hiding. Enter the main hall through the open door and fight the "Scavengers". After all the enemies are eliminated, continue until you reach the desired room. There won't be any branching paths - you won't get lost.
As soon as you approach the door behind which Mark is located, the gang leader - Boris Ribakov - will block your path and become a full-fledged boss.
His key ability is smoke bombs, with which he conceals his location in space and attacks by surprise. You can strike when Boris momentarily becomes visible. Keep an eye on the smoke screen and dodge in time until you reduce the enemy's health to 60%.
As soon as this happens, drones will come to Boris's aid. Shoot them down and return to the fight with Ribakov. Finish him off using the previous strategy.
Go through the door and speak with Katya
Enter the room that Boris had blocked. Unfortunately, you won't find Mark there. Walk to the right wall, find a hidden door, and go inside - you will encounter an unknown woman, who introduces herself as Katya Karelina. She will inform you that Mark is dead, and all that's left of him is the biomonitor from which the signal was being sent.
Ana will order Katya's execution, but you are not obliged to do so. You have choices:
- Kill Katya and take the biomonitor;
- Obtain the biomonitor and spare Katya in exchange for the location of a stash.
Katya's death won't influence the plot. Choose any outcome, obtain the biomonitor, and leave the building.
What to do with the biomonitor?
Once you have the biomonitor, the quest will prompt you to return to the agents and hand over the device. However, V will receive a message from Steven Santos, asking not to give the biomonitor to Ana and to hide it in a stash. Events diverge again from here:
- If you return to the agents: you can either hand over the biomonitor or destroy it after learning more about Steven. Katya will die in either scenario, but at the hands of the "Scavenger" gang, Santos will flee, and Ana will face a life imprisonment.
- If you took the biomonitor to the stash as instructed by Steven: there will be no consequences, and the quest will conclude.
Overall, neither choice will drastically affect the main storyline. Choose the ending you prefer the most. The only difference is that Santos will reward you with 4,000 credits, while Ana will give 6,000 credits.
