Armored Core™ VI Fires Of Rubicon™ has recently been released. The game has captured players' hearts, but it does have significant performance issues that are likely to be addressed by the developers in the near future. In today's guide, we will explore how to solve the performance problem without resorting to basic advice like "Lower your graphics settings and update drivers."

How to Fix Low FPS in Armored Core 6 Fires Of Rubicon

The first step to solve the problem is to disable the EAC system. Follow these instructions:

  1. Navigate to the root folder of the game and find the Game folder (Steam\steamapps\common\ARMORED CORE VI FIRES OF RUBICON\Game);
  2. In the Game folder, create a text file named steam_appid.txt;
  3. Open the text file, input 1888160, and save;
  4. Launch the game through armoredcore6.exe (this is essential, do not launch it through Steam!).

Continue following the instructions to fix the freezing bug:

  1. Start the game and do not close it (this is mandatory!);
  2. Open the Task Manager (CTRL + Shift + Esc);
  3. Go to "Details";
  4. Right-click on armoredcore6.exe, select "Set affinity";
  5. In the opened window, uncheck all boxes except CPU 0 (UC 0);
  6. Return to the game. The problem should be resolved.
Attention: You need to perform this action every time you launch the game, as the settings are constantly reset.

If you encounter the "Access Denied" issue when trying to set affinity, do the following:

  1. Type UAC in the search bar and open the "User Account Control settings";
  2. In the opened menu, drag the slider all the way down and select "Never notify";
  3. Save the settings, enter your password if required;
  4. Restart your computer;
  5. The problem is resolved!
