13 with 408 for Cyberpunk 2077
The release date of Cyberpunk 2077 has been postponed.
Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most anticipated games of recent years. The game was supposed to be released soon - in the middle of November. However, a few days ago the game developers announced that they were forced to postpone the release of the game again. The game was postponed for a month and will be released in December 2020. As expected, this caused a storm of negative emotions among fans of CD Project Red and Cyberpunk 2077 in general.
According to the developers, the postponement was an inevitable decision, although it was a very difficult decision for them. The thing is that, in addition to the fans, the team had problems with investors due to the postponements, because the longer the game is postponed, the more CD Project's shares can fall. The developers justified this by saying that they simply want to give users a fully finished product so that the first impression is as good as possible. Of course, this is the right decision. The game was ready for release, but the developers needed more time to fix bugs and make various improvements.
It was also known that not all promised features will be available in the game at the time of release. For example, it was previously promised that players will be able to furnish their character's home in an expanded form. However, this feature will not be in the game. CD commented on this as follows:
This is quite normal. The thing is that not all promised features can be added to the game from the first minutes. All functions in the game must be worked out as well as possible so that the player does not have the impression that the product is unfinished. This happened with The Witcher 3. Many promised features were not added to the game. But the game did not become less cool because of this. It is quite possible that the promised features will be added in future updates. But for now, we want to give players the most finished and worked out product, because a lot depends on the first impression.
Senior Game Designer of Cyberpunk 2077 has Left CD Projekt Red.
