Can Takamura be saved in Cyberpunk 2077?
Caution! Spoilers ahead!
After listening to Johnny and escaping the building, leaving Takemura behind, I was very upset by this outcome. Takemura is one of the most interesting characters in the game. I really enjoyed having dialogues with him and teasing him in certain moments. The old man didn't understand jokes, but it looked quite amusing. So I wondered - can he be saved? Going back to an earlier save, I tried to do that, and I can say for sure that he can be saved. And as for whether Jackie can be saved, read here.
CD PROJEKT RED has always been known for presenting players with unusual outcomes. They were mostly sad, but by following certain instructions, you can turn that outcome into a positive one.
In this case, saving Takemura is a secret development option.
So let's start saving our friend.
After you wake up, Johnny will swear at us to hurry towards the exit. Let's not rush to do that. When you reach the room with the neon crosses, squeeze through the gap on the left.
Next, you will encounter "Arasaka" guards. Deal with them and run to the second floor. There will be enemies there too.
As we can see, the secret objective "Attempt to save Takemura" has been revealed. Run down the corridor, killing enemies, and enter the room where Takemura is fending off the guards. Help him.
The old man is clearly shocked by this outcome, but don't listen to him. Now you just need to get him out of the building. When you regroup and split up, Takemura won't forget this act and will stay in constant contact with you until the end of the game. Moreover, he'll send his strange and amusing messages.
