While exploring Baghdad, you will eventually come across Gear Chests containing items such as weapons, costumes, and upgrade blueprints. These chests only appear on the in-game map and compass when you are close to them. In this guide, you will discover the locations of all the chests and the equipment they contain.

Chest Locations by Regions

In total, you can find 30 chests with items in the game. Six of them can be found in Harbiyah, nine in the Baghdad Wilderness, six in Abbasiyah, six in Karkh, and three can be found in Round City.

Harbiyah

Zanj Uprising Outfit. To collect the outfit and upgrades for it, you'll need to find six chests. The first one with an item is located on a ship in the Upper Harbor area. Head northwest towards the Khuld district.

There will be a large ship on the water. Climb aboard and enter the cabin.

Move the items inside as follows:

• The first one, right by the entrance, push directly to the left.
• The second one is next to the right wall, push it towards you all the way.
• Move the shelf against the far wall to the right side of the cabin.
• The last one is blocked by a screen; move it aside to access the chest.

Your reward will be the outfit, which reduces the level of negative reputation at each of its three upgrade levels.

The second chest is located at the Khurasan Gate Guardhouse near the Khurasan Gate. Head southeast in the Khuld district.

Climb onto the rooftop. The chest is hidden under a red awning, and the path to it is blocked. Break the vases nearby, move one of the crates, and use a throwing knife through the gap to break another vase.

Now you can move another crate. Go through the opening, breaking vases along the way. Through the lower opening, reach the chest, which contains an Upgrade Schematic.

The third chest with an equipment upgrade schematic is inside the Prince's Palace in the northeast part of the district.

Climb the wall and make your way into the garden.

Eliminate all the guards or sneak past them unnoticed. Approach the eastern side of the building and enter inside. The reward will be right in front of you.

Zanz Uprising Sword. The first chest contains the sword and is located in Shari in the Metal Factory area.

The chest is on the second floor inside one of the buildings.

Head northwest, go inside the building from this side, and either use the items inside or climb the stairs to the upper floor where you'll find the coveted reward.

The sword provides a 50% attack power increase after a successful dodge.

The second chest with the first equipment upgrade schematic is located in the northern part of the Quadrangle of the Persians district, close to the entrance to Damascus Gate Prison.

You can find the reward under the bridge near another entrance to the prison.

You can access the discovered chest from the other side. Use a throwing knife to destroy the beam blocking the door. If done correctly, you'll open the path to the reward.

Another chest with an upgrade schematic is in the Soap Boiler's District. Head to the southeastern part of the Quadrangle of the Persians district.

The chest with the reward is on the second floor inside one of the buildings. To access it, go under the building and use a throwing knife to break one of the floor's supports.

Get inside the building and collect the upgrade schematic.

Chests in the Vicinity of Baghdad

In this region, there are nine chests with five pieces of equipment. To unlock three of the chests, you'll need to find all the mystical shards in advance.

Hidden One Dagger. The chest with the blueprint inside is located to the north in the vicinity of Dur-Kurigalzu.

Head to the destination and enter the cave.

Move forward and eliminate the guards in your path.

When you reach a fork, turn left.

Move the obstructing stone to access an explosive oil jar.

Return to the intersection and head the other way. Break the wall by throwing the jar into it.

Proceed to the end of the opened path and find the chest there.

The second chest with the dagger inside is located inside the Winter Palace. Head to Anbar and find the locked tower near the palace.

Enter it from the south side. On one of the walls, there will be an attached note and two windows on either side. Break the chandelier bracket through the left window.

It will fall, and the passage inside will open.

The dagger allows you to create a poisonous cloud upon killing a poisoned guard, dealing damage to enemies.

The third chest contains a blueprint and is located in the Water Mill.

You need to get inside the building, specifically its southern lower part. Move the obstructing objects.

The chest with the reward will be locked with a key, so first, find it in the water canal.

It is located slightly southeast of your location.

Hidden One Sword. Head to the Spymaster's Camp in the southeast part of the map to find the reward.

You will see a shack with the chest on a tree.

The second chest contains the weapon itself and can be found at the location of the Abandoned Caravanserai in the western part of the map.

The chest will be inside one of the enclosed rooms. You'll have to break one of the walls to reach it. Get to the nearest bridge and move the chest so you can jump to the rope.

Take the explosive jar and climb up using it.

Carry it and blast the wall.

The sword allows you to apply poison to an enemy upon every fifth successful strike.

The third chest with an upgrade for the sword can be found in the Southern Camp area. Go east of Kark.

The chest is easy to spot, and it's guarded by soldiers, which you can easily deal with (or sneak past).

In the Northern Oasis area, you can find three items in total, for which mystical shards will be required.

In this location, you'll discover The Samsaama Dagger, Shamshir-e Zomorrodnegar Sword, and Milad's Outfit Armor.

Abbasia

In this area, you can find six chests with two pieces of equipment and schematics for their improvement.

Zanj Uprising Dagger. You will find the weapon itself in one of the chests in the Four Markets area. Head to the Suburb of Kahtabah district.

The reward is inside one of the houses. To enter, you need to unlock the entrance. First, acquire the key to the building's door. It can be found with a civilian to the northeast of the market. The NPC will be on the second floor of a tea house.

Return and unlock the building.

Take an explosive jar from there.

Use it to break two walls in the room where the chest is located.

Don't rush inside; first, climb onto the nearby wooden platform, take another jar, and explode the floor in the room leading to the chest.

The dagger provides an additional 10% stamina on successful dodges.

The chest with the blueprint is in The Great Bimaristan.

The chest is located on top of one of the closed buildings. Go around to the other side, where you'll see an open window through which you need to throw a dagger to break the door latch. Climb inside the building, move the crates, and reach the reward.

The third chest is in Hammam, right in the center of Abbasia.

To claim the chest, you'll have to explode one of the southern walls of the building.

An explosive oil jar is in the western corner of the building.

Break the grate and enter through the window. Take another jar and explode the floor in the room leading to the chest.

Abbasid Knight Sword. One of the chests with the blueprint is located in the House of Wisdom inside a closed tower.

First, find the key. It's with a scholar standing on top of a house northeast of the chest's location.

Return to the House of Wisdom and climb to the very top. By throwing a throwing knife through the window into the chandelier, you will unlock the door below.

Access to the reward will be opened.

The second chest with the blueprint is inside the Scriptorium in the north of Yasiriyah.

The reward is in the northeastern part of one of the buildings on the second floor. The way is completely open; you'll just have to defeat all the guards.

To reach the third chest with the sword, you need to go to the Scholar's Estate. Head south from the Suburb of Kahtabah.

The chest is in one of the wings of the estate. Break a wooden window on the second floor and enter.

Move all the obstructing items, and the path to the chest will be open. You'll find a hint with the key's location by reading the nearby note.

The sword grants the "On the Edge" property - when the hero's health drops to half, attacks deal 30% more damage.

Karkh

There are a total of 6 chests in this area, each containing 2 pieces of equipment.

Abbasid Knight Outfit. It can be found inside the Monastery of the Virgins, southwest of Karkh, on the first floor of one of the open buildings.

Move the bookshelf, and the path will be revealed.

The outfit provides a percentage-based health regeneration every 2 seconds when the hero is not detected. It doesn't regenerate more than half of the health.

The second chest can be found inside the Tax Collector's Mansion. Head west in Karkh.

The building is guarded by a couple of guards, but you can sneak past them.

The door is unlocked, and the chest is just behind it.

The third chest is located in the Officer's Club. Head north in Karkh.

The chest is on the street near the eastern part of the building. Eliminate the guards or sneak past them to access the reward.

Abbasid Knight Dagger. You'll find the chest with this weapon inside The Great Garrison, northeast of Karkh. The dagger reduces incoming damage by 30% when the hero's health is less than half.

The chest will be in a tower above the fortress gates.

Be cautious, as there are many guards in the vicinity. Infiltrate the fortress through a small opening in the wall and ascend higher.

The desired tower has multiple entrances. One of them is blocked by a vase and a shelf that needs to be moved.

Enter and defeat the well-guarded sentinel to claim your reward from the chest.

Chests in the Round City

There are only 3 chests in this area. The main reward is the Hidden One Outfit. In the other two chests, you'll find upgrade schematics. The equipment increases the Focus gauge's filling when successfully performing stealth kills.

The first chest can be found in Al-Jahiz's House. The room with the reward is slightly southwest.

Climb to the top, create a hole in the floor using an explosive jar with oil from the nearby rooftop, and get inside the house.

The second chest is located in the Mazalim Courts building. Head north in the Round City.

The chest with the reward is at the top of one of the towers. Find a window on one side and break the grating.

You'll be in a room with the reward, which is the outfit.

The third chest is located in the Shurta Headquarters to the east of the area.

The room with the reward is heavily guarded.
