Remember the changing room in Genshin Impact? You opened it once to switch your character's outfit to a different model, but no one paid much attention to it. However, with recent leaks hinting at the arrival of new costumes for characters in the game's 1.6 update, the changing room feature will soon get much more use!

Costumes and Skins in Genshin Impact 1.6

Similar to the housing system, miHoYo has been working on the implementation of a character costume system for quite some time. Rumor has it that Barbara and Jean will be the first characters to receive new skins. Their tropical-themed outfits suggest that the new costume system will be introduced this summer, which could happen as early as the June 1.6 update.

At present, there is no additional information on how to obtain these costumes, however, it is likely that Barbara's "Summertime Sparkle" outfit will be available to players for free.

According to Genshin Report, there is a chance that the well-known traveler Alice (Klee's mother) will finally appear in the game to introduce the costume system. The heroine may only get a thematic dialogue, and it is still unknown if Alice will physically appear in the game.
