You know what awaits you when you enter the crypt, right? In Valheim, it's interesting that there is an opportunity to explore every corner of the game world. A true Viking will always embark on adventures.

So, what's so special about these crypts that everyone is striving for? Sunken crypts contain many resources that help players progress faster. After a few crypts, you'll be ready to take on the Bonemass.

Sunken Crypt: Key Information

What does the crypt look like? It's quite ordinary: a medium-sized building with iron doors. Torches are installed on the left and right, emitting green light. Once inside the crypt, you should understand that a long journey through the depths of the structure awaits you.

As soon as you enter, you'll be attacked by a large number of undead, slimes, and draugr. Naturally, they will try to kill you and prevent you from accessing the treasures.

Before going underground, make sure you have bronze armor - without it, you won't survive. Craft yourself good equipment; it will come in handy, believe me.

The crypts are true treasure troves of artifacts and wealth in the game. You'll find the useful resource of iron there. You'll manually mine it with a pickaxe made from scrap metal. In the crypts, you'll also acquire withered bones and leather - they are also needed to craft cool items for your character.

How to Obtain the Sunken Crypt Key

The dungeons are located in the Swamp biome. You'll find the key to them only in the Black Forest areas. However, first, you'll have to defeat the Elder boss, and then the key will be yours. Don't expect the crypts to be easy to find.

Next, find the boss altar located on the Schwarzwald map. Then immediately go farm ancient seeds (this will allow you to summon the Ent). Before all that, find and kill at least three Greydwarves.

Once you've summoned the Elder, it will appear on your map. However, it's possible that the boss won't appear quite close to you, and you'll have to run a fair distance. Fighting the Elder isn't as daunting as it may seem - it's important to prepare well, and you'll handle all the battles!
